Paper Thin Christianity

It is alarming how paper thin Christianity is getting in America. Recently, Evangelicals pledged to support a man who is Pimp and who has open whore houses and who is running for political office. The man isn’t reformed or repentant, having left this former way of life, nay his dens of sin are still open and well documented. When asked why Evangelicals would vote for him their answers were that he is “he is the right man for the job, he has the right policies.” It is interesting how people can divorce their beliefs from politics and other theaters of this world. Being ardent in morality at church but not when it comes to those in political office.

This paper thin Christianity is a byproduct of the Post Modern Times we live in. People who claim to be Christian take up their banner for tyrants on Monday through Saturday and then on Sunday wave the white flag of Jesus. Hypocrisy stinks and this schizophrenia in Evangelicalism is why many are fleeing to the Roman Catholic and Eastern Orhtodox Churches. Pious souls who have grown weary of split personality Christianity have fled to bastions of genuine faith, hoping their denominations will remain true disciples of Christ. Unfortunately, the same divorced thinking that Evangelicals are using with politics is being applied in the Roman Catholic, Eastern Orhrodox, and High Churches of Protestantism. Whether conservative or liberal, churches are claiming to hold fast to Christ’s teachings while simultaneously bowing to the political mob of their party. Imperial Christianity, the pollutant and toxic mixture of the Kingdom of Heaven and the kingdom of this world is returning. While it behooves us as Christians to be abreast of world events and politics, especially when it pertains to the church and how it will effect our freedoms, we are not permitted to divorce our beliefs from our political choices. We are told by the Apostle, “Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, God making his appeal through us. We implore you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God.” (2 Corinthians 5:20). If we are ambassadors, we then represent Christ in all we do and so it behooves is to conduct ourselves in such a manner as befitting the King of Kings.

The polarizing nature of this paper thin Christianity is already making its mark. From claims that The Bible says a mother and child should be separated during immigration is fallacy, the Lord sent Hagar and Ishmael together across the border and took care of them (Genesis 21:8-21). Politicians and those involved in government are tainting Christianity with their paper thin understanding of Scripture. They make the coming Antichrist’s job easier to humiliate and crush the saints (Revelation 13:7).

We must not tolerate this bipolar behavior. We cannot waver in our devotion between two masters and opinions, “No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money,” (Matthew 6:24) and, “Elijah went before the people and said, "How long will you waver between two opinions? If the LORD is God, follow him; but if Baal is God, follow him." But the people said nothing.” (1 Kings 18:21). The words of our Lord Jesus Christ are telling, “you cannot serve God and money,” and politics is invariably about money in the end. We need to vote for Christian paragons (as best as we can find them) or vote not at all. It is not about being Republican or Democrat, it is about the Kingdom, “Thy Kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in Heaven.” (Matthew 6:10). Amen.

Dispensationalism

John Nelson Darby (1800-1882) was a man who did two things, he took 70th week of the Book of Daniel and stretched out to the End Times, and he was the father of  Dispensationalism , a belief system that God dispenses different peoples with separate blessings and covenants. According to Darb'ys doctrine of Dispensationalism, God dispenses different covenants. There are total of seven dispensations that divide the history of man: I. Dispensation of Innocence (prior to the Fall, "Do not east of the Fruit of Good and Eve, Eden), II. Dispensation of Conscience ( You must assuage guilt and sin with blood sacrifices.) III. Dispensation of Human Government (Multiply and Subdue the world, example the Tower of Babel Gen 11:1-9, and Genesis 1:28). IV. Dispensation of the Promise (Dwell in Canaan, Jerusalem) V. Dispensation of the Law ("Obey the Law of Moses and the Prophets"). VI. Dispensation of Grace (The Church, Jesus Christ has come...

Jesus’ Name in Aramaic

There has been a trend to render Jesus’ name Hebrew, יֵשׁוּעַ , Yeshua. The problem is neither Christ nor his apostles, nor the Jews in 30-33 A.D. spoke Hebrew, they spoke Aramaic. A ramaic is the oldest language on earth and was the language Jesus spoke. In fact, the oldest Old Testament is the Septuagint a Greco translation around 132 B.C.E. (165 Years Before Christ)that was translated from Aramaic. The Masoretic Text, The Hebrew Old Testament most Bibles use, dates from 7th to 10th Century A.D. (Medieval Times).  This translation does not cross reference with the words of Christ in the New Testament which are Aramaic and Koine Greek.  If the Aramaic was what Jesus spoke, then by what name would have been called? Jesus’ name in Aramaic is Isho or Eesho, spelled ܝܫܘܥ . That is the name of our Lord in Aramaic! He would have heard his name in this dialect, “Hail Isho or Eesho!” as well as the Greek, Ἰ ησο ῦ ς , Iesous.  Aramaic is disappearing, only a few peop...

The Potrait of Jesus: What Christ Looked Like

What was Jesus’s appearance? Pseudo-historians at National Geographic and other publications argue that Jesus’ humanity was of Arab or African descent. This is impossible because Jesus our God was Son of David according to His flesh, “He promised beforehand through His prophets in the Holy Scriptures, regarding His Son, who was a descendant of David according to the flesh, and who through the Spirit of holiness was declared with power to be the Son of God by His resurrection from the dead: Jesus Christ our Lord (God),” (Romans 1:2-4), and King David was described as the following, “So he sent and brought him in. Now he was ruddy [red, ruddy, from the word admowniy {ad-mo-nee'}; from 'adam ; reddish of the hair or the complexion red, ruddy], with beautiful eyes and a handsome appearance. And the LORD said, "Arise, anoint him; for this is he. So Samuel took the horn of oil and anointed him in the presence of his brothers, and from that day on the Spirit of the LORD came ...
