Judas Iscariot, Son of Perdition |
Nicolaitanism is sadly a small sect of Christendom and Judaism. In the Fifteenth Century there was rediscovery, a Renaissance of the mystical writings of Caballa, Gnosticism, and more. Since the printing press had been invented, these mystery texts such as Cabbala, Gnostic gospels, and other mystigoggia flooded into Europe. Cabbala alone is a numerology based text that uses magic, and witchcraft (using powers from anything not from the One True God (Trinity), examples demons, dark arts, and more) to devise secret meanings in Scripture, this practice is tragically ironic because the Jews read and are suppose to obey the words in the Torah that say, "Let no one be found among you who sacrifices their son or daughter in the fire, who practices divination or sorcery, interprets omens, engages in witchcraft, or cast spells, or function as mediums or psychics, or call forth the spirits of the dead." (Deuteronomy 18:10-11). Thus Cabala contradicts the orders of Jehovah gave to Israelites. In same way the Gnostic writings and texts infected Christianity, though they were refuted, counted as heterodox (not orthodox), and banned by The Council of Nicaea in 325 A.D, they made a return in the Renaissance and Reformation era of The Fifteenth and Sixteenth Centuries. Gnosticism gets is name from the Greek Word Gnosis "Know" or "Knowledge" and it was cult that sought to discover secret mysteries through numbers, allegorizing Scripture (reading into passages with algorithms, prophetic ideas, and mystical interpretations including soothsaying and numerology), witchcraft, and other strange practices. From Gnosticism came secret societies and cults, like the Cathars and Nestorians who wanted to find deeper knowledge of the divine, angelic, cosmos, and elemental. Jesus Christ refutes these Gnostics and their secret wisdom and books (including the gospels of Judas and Thomas) with His words, "I have spoken openly to the world," Jesus replied. "I always taught in synagogues or at the temple, where all the Jews come together. I said nothing in secret." (John 18:20). In addition Jesus perhaps mentions the Gnostics, Cabbalaists, and even Free Masons who came later when He says, "But I also have a message for the rest of you in Thyatira who have not followed this false teaching ('deeper truths,' as they call them--depths of Satan, actually). I will ask nothing more of you." (Revelation 2:24). Interestingly, Free Masons have intiates take an oath to the great spirit of light during their secret meeting, this spirit of light is Satan, "But I am not surprised! Even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light." (2 Corinthians 11:14) and when a Mason reaches 33rd Degree they are told it is Satan. Jesus Christ condemns magic users, that includes Cabala and Masons, "those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars--they will be consigned to the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death/those who practice witchcraft, idol worshipers, and all liars--their fate is in the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death" (Revelation 21:8).
Many of these special devotio and secret societies or movements proclaiming some secret wisdoms should you join them and read their texts inevitably lead people into occultism. The famous Temtian who was Bishop, delved in Hebraic Cabbala, believing Hebrew was language to talk to God, and before it was all over he was an Occultist doing magic and trying to justify it. Satan always deceives with the temptation of greater knowledge and wisdom, its what He did in Eden at the Beginning, "For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil/God knows that your eyes will be opened as soon as you eat it, and you will be like God, knowing both good and evil." (Genesis 3:5). And so Adam and Eve ate, but the cost of their knowledge was banishment from Eden, "And the LORD God said, "The man has now become like one of us, knowing good and evil. He must not be allowed to reach out his hand and take also from the tree of life and eat, and live forever." (Genesis 3:22). Perhaps Adam and Eve were first to dabble in occultism, biting the dark fruit which cost them paradise, closeness with God, pain free birth, weedless crops, their immortality (making them mortal), and finally eternal life which was only reversed through Jesus Christ not biting the forbidden fruit (see Satan's temptation in Wilderness, that is Apple he offers the Alpha and Omega, see Matthew 4:1-11 ) and instead dying on a tree (cross) to reverse the effects of our ancestors eating from Forbidden Tree that put us under the curse.
The devil promised wisdom, but man received woe. In contrast, those of us who believe in Jesus Christ and reject Satan's apples of Gnosticism, Cabbala, Nestorianism, Free Masonry, Book of Dead, and all witchcraft find the only true wisdom, knowledge, and truth in Jesus Christ! For it is written in Christ alone are storehouses of wisdom, "and filled with the full riches of complete understanding, so that they may know the mystery of God, namely Christ, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge." (Colossians 2:2-3). Jesus Christ who is God (Colossians 1:15-23, Colossians 2:9, John 17:21-22, John 10:30, John 14:6) has all knowledge and wisdom contain in Him for He is author of all wisdom and becomes Wisdom, "God has united you with Christ Jesus. For our benefit God made him to be wisdom itself. Christ made us right with God; he made us pure and holy, and he freed us from sin/It is because of him that you are in Christ Jesus, who has become for us wisdom from God--that is, our righteousness, holiness and redemption." (1 Corinthians 1:30, NLT and NIV). Jesus Christ is Wisdom, as the Apostle says, "But to those called by God to salvation, both Jews and Gentiles, Christ is the power of God and the wisdom of God." (1 Corinthians 1:24). Jesus Christ has always been the source of all wisdom, For He is called Wisdom in the Proverbs, and Jesus made everything for He is all knowledge, "For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through him and for him," (Colossians 1:16) and, "All things were made through him, and without him was not any thing made that was made." (John 1:3). Our brains with can compute knowledge and seek after wisdom were made by Christ, and is not the maker wiser than that is made? Then why do people seek after wisdoms from fallen angels, fallen people, and fallen intellect? The answer is that they are deceived. What Satan wants to do is distract people from the only true source of wisdom, knowledge, and truth, Jesus Christ. This is the devil's aim to get you on divergent paths, to chase after hidden manna that is full of HaSatan (Satan)'s lies and forked tongue.
The Apostle Paul openly rebuked people who sought after the mysteries that are Gnosticism and more, he said, "But I am afraid that just as Eve was deceived by the serpent's cunning, your minds may somehow be led astray from your sincere and pure devotion to Christ. For if someone comes and proclaims a Jesus other than the One we proclaimed, or if you receive a different spirit than the One you received, or a different gospel than the one you accepted, you put up with it way too easily." (2 Corinthians 11:3-4). The Gnostics, Coptics, Nestorians, Free Masons, Cathars, Cabbalaists, and more preach another Jesus and gospel; they preach either that Jesus is a prophet or not fully God and Man, which the Apostle John and the Apostle Paul rebukes, "This is how you can recognize the Spirit of God: Every spirit that acknowledges that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God, but if someone claims to be a prophet and does not acknowledge the truth about Jesus, that person is not from God. Such a person has the spirit of the Antichrist, which you heard is coming into the world and indeed is already here." (1 John 4:2-3), "I say this because many deceivers have gone out into the world. They deny that Jesus Christ came in a real body. Such a person is a deceiver and an antichrist," (2 John 1:7), "For in him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily/For in Christ lives all the fullness of God in a human body," (Colossians 2:9), and "Paul, a servant of Christ Jesus, called to be an apostle, set apart for the gospel of God, which he promised beforehand through his prophets in the holy Scriptures, concerning his Son, who was descended from David according to the flesh and was declared to be the Son of God in power according to the Spirit of holiness by his resurrection from the dead, Jesus Christ our Lord, through whom we have received grace and apostleship to bring about the obedience of faith for the sake of his name among all the nations, including you who are called to belong to Jesus Christ." (Romans 1:1-6).
Stay away from any book, person, movement, group, fraternity, sorority, and meeting that promises a "deeper mysteries, enlightenment, secrets, and the hidden knowledge and wisdom." Remember that Jesus Christ holds all Wisdom and Knowledge (Colossians 2:2-3) and you do not need any person, text, or community to teach you God's wisdom when God said He will teach you, "Don't let anyone call you 'Rabbi,' for you have only one teacher, and all of you are equal as brothers and sisters. And do not call anyone on earth 'father,' for you have one Father, and he is in heaven/And don't address anyone here on earth as 'Father,' for only God in heaven is your spiritual Father. And don't let anyone call you 'Teacher,' for you have only one teacher, the Messiah," (Matthew 23:8-10), and the Holy Spirit who is One with Jesus and The Father will teach you, "But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you," (John 14:26), "However, when the Spirit of truth comes, He will guide you into all truth. For He will not speak on His own, but He will speak what He hears, and He will declare to you what is to come," (John 16:13), and if you must use any text let it only be The Holy Bible which, "All Scripture (see 1 Corinthians 15;3-5) is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work." (2 Timothy 3:16-17). Remember not only is Jesus Christ the source of all wisdom (Colossians 2:2-3) and wisdom itself (1 Corinthians 1:30), but He lives in you, "To them God chose to make known how great among the Gentiles are the riches of the glory of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory," (Colossians 1:27), "Don't you realize that all of you together are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God lives in you?," (1 Corinthians 3:16), "But Christ is faithful as the Son over God's house. And we are His house, if we hold firmly to our confidence and the hope of which we boast," (Hebrews 3:6), and "And Christ lives within you, so even though your body will die because of sin, the Spirit gives you life because you have been made right with God. The Spirit of God, who raised Jesus from the dead, lives in you. And just as God raised Christ Jesus from the dead, he will give life to your mortal bodies by this same Spirit living within you." (Romans 8:10-11).
Now I am not saying Jesus is just wisdom and intellect, but rather He is Wisdom because all Wisdom comes from Him, just as all things were created by Him (John 1:3), and all love comes from Him and that is why the Scriptures say "God is love," (1 John 4:8); it doesn't meant He is merely a feeling of love or just knowledge without a personality, feelings and more, it is to say all good feelings and all knowledge comes from Him but he has other attributes (Justice, Mercy, Self Control), He has a personality, and an essence (he's not just thoughts or words, He is flesh and blood, Spirit and has all intelligence, He speaks to us and relates to us as we relate to other people). I want to be clear on this because this post is meant to refute deep mysteries, and secret knowledge cults; so when I say seek Christ for all wisdom, that is a relationship with Christ (God) and interaction, dialogue, communication, and that can involve The Holy Bible. We must test everything with The Holy Bible (Old and New Testaments) and The Holy Spirit, and the Wisdom of Christ. Beware of all other texts that promise greater wisdom and knowledge, you need only The Holy Bible, and do not be beguiled into seeking secrets and spiritual mysteries in a cult, but instead go to Jesus Christ (Yeshua, Iesus, Jesu. Immanuel) the One True God who is Jehovah (Romans 10:9-10) who is One with The Father (Yaweh), and The Holy Spirit (Rouch HaKodesh).
One more time, only go to The Holy Bible as your book for what to know, believe, and practice as Christian, and go only to Christ Jesus who lives in you if you believe in Him as your Lord and Savior to teach you (Matthew 23:10), and let The Holy Spirit teach you (John 14:26) who will teach you about Jesus, and they both give glory to Father (John 15:9-10, John 17:20-22, John 10:30, John 14:7-9, John 15:26). Stick with Scripture (The Holy Bible, Old and New Testament, No Apocaypha) and The Trinity (Father, Jesus, and Holy Spirit) as your teacher; the Scripture/Holy Bible is God Breathed (2 Timothy 3:16) so it comes from the Trinity. Amen.
