Mormonism Examined

“For false christs and false prophets will arise and perform great signs and wonders, so as to lead astray, if possible, even the elect.” (Matthew 24:24)

Something that I find curious is that Mormonism is being put under The Christian Umbrella of denominations when it has fundamentally different beliefs than Orthodox as in Biblical Christianity.

For instance in the Bible Jesus and Satan are enemies, and Jesus being God (Colossians 1:9-23, John 1:1-3, Titus 2:13) created Satan when he was good, and actually pronounced Satan’s judgement (Ezekiel 28:11-19) when he lost the war in heaven (Revelation 12:7-12).

In The Book of Mormon Jesus and Satan are spirit brothers with different plans for humanity which is in stark contrast with The Biblical True Jesus says of Satan, “I will not speak much more with you, for the ruler of the world is coming, and he has nothing in Me,” (John 14:30), “Then Jesus said to him, “Be gone, Satan! For it is written, “‘You shall worship the Lord your God and him only shall you serve,” (Matthew 4:10), “You used to live in sin, just like the rest of the world, obeying the devil—the commander of the powers in the unseen world. He is the spirit at work in the hearts of those who refuse to obey God,” (Ephesians 2:2).

In the Bible there is only The Father, The Son: Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit, “Go forth and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the Name of the Father, The Son, and the Holy Spirit,” (Matthew 28:19)

While Mormonism There is the Father and Mother God, with Jesus and Satan as their spirit sons.

The early church differentiated other groups from being Orthodox (Right Belief) Christian in that they do not believe the same fundamental beliefs of Christianity. Mormonism is a such variance from Christianity on crucial matters like Christology (who Christ is) and The Holy Trinity that Mormonism is really is closer to Gnosticism, and other false religions that have Jesus in them, but do not affirm thar Truth that Jesus is the Son of God, Christ, Lord of Lords, and God Incarnate as the New Testament in the Bible declares and the Old Testament foretells.

One can clearly draw a distinction of great difference between Christianity and Mormonism (The Church of Ladder Day Saints of Jesus Christ) over who Jesus is, who Satan is, and is it a Trinity or a Heavenly Father and Mother. We know the truth as Christians that the Holy Bible tells the truth. For over 5000yrs The Same God spoke to 40 different authors and their message is harmonious from Old to New Testaments. While The Book of Mormon was written by one man, Joseph Smith, as another revelation. I will tell you, trust the Book that has multiple authors who are in harmony by same Holy Spirit over one man who gets a ‘revelation.’ So many false teachings come from one man or woman, while even Jesus Christ the very God who gave revelations to the apostles, prophets, and writers of the Bible affirmed his Teaching with the Scriptures by those other authors, Jesus constantly quotes Old Testament Scripture ranging from 73-300 times! Meaning even though Jesus is the Word of God, the Logos Himself, He backed what he was saying by the other authors in Old Testament who got revelations from The Father, Him Pre-Incarnate, and The Holy Spirit. Therefore we can trust the teaching of Jesus and the Apostles in the New Testament because they affirm the Old Testament, while the Book of Mormon adds a whole different belief system and ideas that do not align with the Old and New Testament Scriptures. We as society say, you can trust when many people say something is a fact, but if one person says the sky is red, when a multitude say its blue, you go with the multitude. The Multitude is on the side of the Holy Bible, while Mormonism is in the minority, and is saying the sky is red. Amen.

Israel’s Conquest of Canaan: The Nephilim and Giants

Christianity Today asserts that the conquest of Canaan can be a “stumbling block” for believers. This probably is because of a foolish idea of comparing it to a modern conquest happening in our world. The truth is that God had Israel conquer Canaan because it was ruled by evil giants, “We saw the Nephilim there (the descendants of Anak come from the Nephilim). We seemed like grasshoppers in our own eyes, and we looked the same to them.” (Numbers 13:33). These are Anakim or Nephilim, the children of angels and human women, “When man began to multiply on the face of the land and daughters were born to them, the sons of God (angels) saw that the daughters of man were attractive. And they took as their wives any they chose. Then the LORD said, “My Spirit shall not abide in man forever, for he is flesh: his days shall be 120 years.” The Nephilim were on the earth in those days, and also afterward, when the sons of God came in to the daughters of man and they bore children to them. The...

Dispensationalism

John Nelson Darby (1800-1882) was a man who did two things, he took 70th week of the Book of Daniel and stretched out to the End Times, and he was the father of  Dispensationalism , a belief system that God dispenses different peoples with separate blessings and covenants. According to Darb'ys doctrine of Dispensationalism, God dispenses different covenants. There are total of seven dispensations that divide the history of man: I. Dispensation of Innocence (prior to the Fall, "Do not east of the Fruit of Good and Eve, Eden), II. Dispensation of Conscience ( You must assuage guilt and sin with blood sacrifices.) III. Dispensation of Human Government (Multiply and Subdue the world, example the Tower of Babel Gen 11:1-9, and Genesis 1:28). IV. Dispensation of the Promise (Dwell in Canaan, Jerusalem) V. Dispensation of the Law ("Obey the Law of Moses and the Prophets"). VI. Dispensation of Grace (The Church, Jesus Christ has come...

Jesus’ Name in Aramaic

There has been a trend to render Jesus’ name Hebrew, יֵשׁוּעַ , Yeshua. The problem is neither Christ nor his apostles, nor the Jews in 30-33 A.D. spoke Hebrew, they spoke Aramaic. A ramaic is the oldest language on earth and was the language Jesus spoke. In fact, the oldest Old Testament is the Septuagint a Greco translation around 132 B.C.E. (165 Years Before Christ)that was translated from Aramaic. The Masoretic Text, The Hebrew Old Testament most Bibles use, dates from 7th to 10th Century A.D. (Medieval Times).  This translation does not cross reference with the words of Christ in the New Testament which are Aramaic and Koine Greek.  If the Aramaic was what Jesus spoke, then by what name would have been called? Jesus’ name in Aramaic is Isho or Eesho, spelled ܝܫܘܥ . That is the name of our Lord in Aramaic! He would have heard his name in this dialect, “Hail Isho or Eesho!” as well as the Greek, Ἰ ησο ῦ ς , Iesous.  Aramaic is disappearing, only a few peop...
