St. Sebastian: The Saints Review

Martin Scorsee Presents The Saints on Fox Nation has had third installment that has been released about the Roman Matyr Sebastian. Honestly, the story of the Sebastian is not too fanciful, despite his ressurection. As Christians we know resurrection is possible, our Lord Jesus Christ was raised from the dead, and many were raised at His Death on the Cross (Matthew 27:50-56) and there was Lazarus (). The problem I have with saints like Sebastian is that its steeped in Popish folklore, even saying he had a pope.. there was no popes back then. What is most troubling is falsehood of the Catholic Church that saints need to canonized, all who put their faith in Jesus are saints, "To the church of God in Corinth, to those sanctified (set apart, made holy) in Christ Jesus, who are selected and called as saints (God’s people), together with all those who in every place call on and honor the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, their Lord and ours" (1 Corinthians 1:2), and we are even kings and priests, "Jesus, the Christ, who is the faithful witness and the first begotten of the dead and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us and washed us from our sins with his own blood and has made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen." (Revelation 1:5-6). We The Church, the Ecclesia, all Christians who place our faith in Jesus Christ are saints! There is not hiearchy of more holy people, for all of us who confess this are living in God and He in us, "All who declare that Jesus is the Son of God have God living in them, and they live in God." (1 John 4:15).

The most alarming part in this St. Sebastian: The Saints Series is they have Constantine The Great saying The Nicene Creed with a false line that "Jesus is Born of God," nooo.. He is Begotten, begotten use to mean "sent forth from," to "come forth from" like in this verse, "And the one who sent me is with me—he has not deserted me. For I always do what pleases him," (John 8:29) and "For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him." (John 3:17) it did not mean born. We only use born for Jesus in line "Born of the Virgin Mary." Jesus was not created by God The Father, he is Consubstantial, of the same substance, that is Very God of Very God and has always been with The Father and Holy Spirit as The Godhead, The Holy Trinity! Jesus even says, "Philip says to Him, “Lord, show us the Father, and it is enough for us” Jesus says to him, “Am I with you all for so long a time, and you have not known Me, Philip?— the one having seen Me has seen the Father. How is it you say, ‘Show us the Father’? Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and the Father is in Me? I am not speaking the words which I am saying to you from Myself, but the Father abiding in Me is doing His works." (John 14:8-10). So just for that heterdox line I must say this episode is evil! It says Jesus is born of God, like a Mormons believes Jesus is born of Father and Mother god, Jesus has always been, "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God  All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made," (John 1:1-3) and "And now, Father, glorify me in your presence with the glory I had with you before the world began"" (John 17:5).

The line "Conceived by The Holy Spirit," as found in the gospel of Luke is in regards to the humanity of Jesus, Jesus as God always existed, but The Godhead in Mary's Womb gave our Lord God The Son a Body, this is why there is the verse, "concerning his Son, who was descended from David according to the flesh  and was declared to be the Son of God in power according to the Spirit of holiness by his resurrection from the dead, Jesus Christ our Lord," (Romans 1:3-4, ESV). Son of God and Son of Man, He is God The Son who always has existed with God The Father and God The Holy Spirit. God The Father and The Holy Spirit did not create Jesus The Son of God, they formed in Mary's Womb his flesh and Body and He was born to her as man child (baby), but He has always existed as God.

Then in the after talk when Martin Scorsese and his friends, one a priest, they get into how Sebastian saw that Rome had to change, humanity had to evolve, and they propose that the same must happen to Christianity. This is false! This is Liberal Christianity, the idea that Christianity must change to fit the times, the culture, and morals. I say to that horse dung belief that Christianity should change this, "Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever," (Hebrews 13:8), Jesus is changeless and He is the One who is author and prefector of our Faith, "fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God." (Hebrews 12:2). If God is changeless and He is author and perfecter of our Faith, then our faith, our Christianity cannot change! A pox on Scorsese and this Saints program! That it would teach the teachings of demons, "Now the Spirit expressly says that in later times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits and doctrines of demons" (! Timothy 4:1) and a different gospel, "But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach a gospel other than the one we preached to you, let them be under God’s curse! As we have already said, so now I say again: If anybody is preaching to you a gospel other than what you accepted, let them be under God’s," (Galatians 1:8-9) and "But I fear that somehow your pure and undivided devotion to Christ will be corrupted, just as Eve was deceived by the cunning ways of the serpent. You put up with whatever anyone tells you, even if they preach a different Jesus than the one we preach, or a different kind of Spirit than the one you received, or a different kind of gospel than the one you believed." (2 Corinthians 11:3-4). For this reason may this series perish! And what should we expect?  Martin Scorsese is one who made abomination that was The Last Temptation of Christ that dares to depict Jesus having carnal relations and Silence which says we can deny our faith to save our skin and others, when Jesus says, "stand firm to end," (Matthew 24:13), "This means that God’s holy people must endure persecution patiently, obeying his commands and maintaining their faith in Jesus," (Revelation 14:12), and Peter says, "But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear." (1 Peter 3:15).

Now to speak about prayers to saints as mediators. This is wrong. There is only one mediator, The Christ, "For God is One, and The Mediator of God and the sons of men is One: The Son of Man, Jesus The Messiah" (1 Timothy 2:5, Aramaic Bible). The idea of prayers to the dead is from 2 Maccabees and its why its not in our Bible! It is a false belief! When we die we go to The Judgement, "And just as it is appointed for men to die once, and after their death, the judgment," (Hebrews 9:27), "Do not consult ghosts or spirits, or seek oracles from the dead," (Deuteronomy 18:11), "When someone tells you to consult mediums and spiritists, who whisper and mutter, should not a people inquire of their God? Why consult the dead on behalf of the living? Look to God’s instructions and teachings! People who contradict his word are completely in the dark." (Isaiah 8:19-20). Right there, why consult or seek prayers from the dead?! Because you should not! Instead follow God's instructions which are in The Holy Bible and as the verse in Isaiah to inquire of God, not dead saints. Saint patronage and prayers is against the teachings of God! You have to decide do you wish to follow the traditions of men or follow the words of God?, "He replied, “Isaiah was right when he prophesied about you hypocrites; as it is written: These people honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me. They worship me in vain; their teachings are merely human rules.’You have let go of the commands of God and are holding on to human traditions.”And he continued, “You have a fine way of setting aside the commands of God in order to observe your own traditions!" (Mark 7:6-9). I tell you listen to God! To the 27 Books of the New Testament and the helpful passages in the Old Testament like do not preform magic or do soothsaying. Amen.

Israel’s Conquest of Canaan: The Nephilim and Giants

Christianity Today asserts that the conquest of Canaan can be a “stumbling block” for believers. This probably is because of a foolish idea of comparing it to a modern conquest happening in our world. The truth is that God had Israel conquer Canaan because it was ruled by evil giants, “We saw the Nephilim there (the descendants of Anak come from the Nephilim). We seemed like grasshoppers in our own eyes, and we looked the same to them.” (Numbers 13:33). These are Anakim or Nephilim, the children of angels and human women, “When man began to multiply on the face of the land and daughters were born to them, the sons of God (angels) saw that the daughters of man were attractive. And they took as their wives any they chose. Then the LORD said, “My Spirit shall not abide in man forever, for he is flesh: his days shall be 120 years.” The Nephilim were on the earth in those days, and also afterward, when the sons of God came in to the daughters of man and they bore children to them. The...

Dispensationalism

John Nelson Darby (1800-1882) was a man who did two things, he took 70th week of the Book of Daniel and stretched out to the End Times, and he was the father of  Dispensationalism , a belief system that God dispenses different peoples with separate blessings and covenants. According to Darb'ys doctrine of Dispensationalism, God dispenses different covenants. There are total of seven dispensations that divide the history of man: I. Dispensation of Innocence (prior to the Fall, "Do not east of the Fruit of Good and Eve, Eden), II. Dispensation of Conscience ( You must assuage guilt and sin with blood sacrifices.) III. Dispensation of Human Government (Multiply and Subdue the world, example the Tower of Babel Gen 11:1-9, and Genesis 1:28). IV. Dispensation of the Promise (Dwell in Canaan, Jerusalem) V. Dispensation of the Law ("Obey the Law of Moses and the Prophets"). VI. Dispensation of Grace (The Church, Jesus Christ has come...

Jesus’ Name in Aramaic

There has been a trend to render Jesus’ name Hebrew, יֵשׁוּעַ , Yeshua. The problem is neither Christ nor his apostles, nor the Jews in 30-33 A.D. spoke Hebrew, they spoke Aramaic. A ramaic is the oldest language on earth and was the language Jesus spoke. In fact, the oldest Old Testament is the Septuagint a Greco translation around 132 B.C.E. (165 Years Before Christ)that was translated from Aramaic. The Masoretic Text, The Hebrew Old Testament most Bibles use, dates from 7th to 10th Century A.D. (Medieval Times).  This translation does not cross reference with the words of Christ in the New Testament which are Aramaic and Koine Greek.  If the Aramaic was what Jesus spoke, then by what name would have been called? Jesus’ name in Aramaic is Isho or Eesho, spelled ܝܫܘܥ . That is the name of our Lord in Aramaic! He would have heard his name in this dialect, “Hail Isho or Eesho!” as well as the Greek, Ἰ ησο ῦ ς , Iesous.  Aramaic is disappearing, only a few peop...
