Jonathan Roumie has achieved notoriety for playing Jesus Christ in The Chosen Series. He also played Lonnie Frisbee in The Jesus Revolution with Kelsey Grammar. This man has risen to prominence portraying our real Lord Jesus, and I am alarmed at what I have heard fans say. One woman said, "when I pray I picture Roumie as Jesus." Woah.. wait.. that is idolatry! Roumie is not the Real Jesus Christ. I at first was rather positive towards The Chosen because it was reaching souls, "what matters is Christ is preached." (Philippians 1:20). However, Roumie has done something other Jesus actors have not. Former actors who portrayed our Lord God in film like Ted Neeley, Jim Caviezel, and even Diego Morgado all were able to let Christ like a light shine through them; they simply became a media way of reading Scriptural Jesus, they did not take the place of Jesus, they helped people see Jesus through their portrayal and for this I am grateful. However, Roumie is different.. people are starting to look at him as Jesus, not divorcing the two. This is antichrist, for anti means "to replace" not "against." Jesus our Lord even said, "there will be many false christs and prophets that will decieve if possible The elect." (Matthew 24;24). If possible in Greek would more properly say "is possible," it is possible for The Elect to be decieved.
I do not have person vendetta against Roumie, at first I thought he was rather good actor playing Jesus in first two seasons of The Chosen, I especially liked him speaking Egyptian in a scene to a woman, because Jesus spent many years in Egypt. However, something is happening with Roumie.. I see him and not Christ bleeding through his performance. He even is now on Hallow commercials for prayer app, which I may post about at another time. Roumie when I first looked him up was head of an order of the Catholic Church like the Knights of Columbus, and as I have emphatically said and proven with Scripture, Roman Catholicism is not Christianity, is not the faith of the apostles, it is another Jesus they preach and a different gospel and definitely a different spirit than the Holy Spirit "For if someone comes along and preaches another Jesus than the one we preached, or should you receive a different spirit from the one you received or a different gospel from the one you accepted, you are all too willing to listen," (2 Corinthians 11:4). Catholicism obsesses over sins, when we are sons of God, "For you are all children of God through faith in Christ Jesus," (Galatians 3:26) and Jesus has cleansed us of all sin, "Jesus, the Christ, who is the faithful witness and the first begotten of the dead and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us and washed us from our sins with his own blood and has made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen." (Revelation 1:5-6 Jubilee Bible). Catholicism appeals to saints and Mary to be mediators of prayer, when there is one Mediator, Jesus, "For there is one God and one mediator between God and mankind, the man Christ Jesus" (1 Timothy 2:5). Catholicism believes you must do Seven Sacraments to be saved, or do good (new council), when Jesus says believe in Him, "For God so [greatly] loved and dearly prized the world, that He [even] gave His [One and] only begotten Son [Jesus Christ The LORD], so that whoever believes and trusts in Him [as Savior] shall not perish, but have eternal life.," (John 3:16), "Jesus replied, “I have already told you, and you don’t believe me. The proof is the work I do in my Father’s name. But you don’t believe me because you are not my sheep. My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they will never perish. No one can snatch them away from me, for my Father has given them to me, and he is more powerful than anyone else.No one can snatch them from the Father’s hand. The Father and I are one," (John 10:25-30), and "eter rose up and said unto them, Men and brethren, ye know how that a good while ago God chose that the Gentiles by my mouth should hear the word of the gospel and believe.And God, who knows the hearts, bore them witness, giving them the Holy Spirit, even as he did unto us, and put no difference between us and them, purifying their hearts by faith.Now therefore why tempt ye God, putting a yoke upon the neck of the disciples, which neither our fathers nor we were able to bear? For we believe that through the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ we shall be saved, even as they." (Acts 15:11). Salvation is achieved by Christ Jesus, we believe or accept it and trust in His saving us by His death for our sins once for all time, "But Christ offered himself to God without any flaw. He did this through the power of the eternal Holy Spirit. So how much cleaner will the blood of Christ make us! It washes away our feelings of guilt for committing sin. Sin always leads to death. But now we can serve the living God. That’s why Christ is the go-between of a new covenant. Now those God calls to himself will receive the eternal gift he promised. They will receive it now that Christ has died to save them. He died to set them free from the sins they committed under the first covenant.What happens when someone leaves a will? It is necessary to prove that the person who made the will has died. A will is in effect only when somebody has died. It never takes effect while the one who made it is still living. That’s why even the first covenant was not put into effect without the spilling of blood. Moses first announced every command of the law to all the people. Then he took the blood of calves. He also took water, bright red wool and branches of a hyssop plant. He sprinkled the Book of the Covenant. He also sprinkled all the people. He said, “This is the blood of the covenant God has commanded you to keep.” (Exodus 24:8). In the same way, he sprinkled the holy tent with blood. He also sprinkled everything that was used in worship there. In fact, the law requires that nearly everything be made “clean” with blood. Without the spilling of blood, no one can be forgiven. So the copies of the heavenly things had to be made pure with these sacrifices. But the heavenly things themselves had to be made pure with better sacrifices. Christ did not enter a sacred tent made with human hands. That tent was only a copy of the true one. He entered heaven itself. He did it to stand in front of God for us. He is there right now. 25 The high priest enters the Most Holy Room every year. He enters with blood that is not his own. But Christ did not enter heaven to offer himself again and again. If he had, he would have had to suffer many times since the world was created. But he has appeared once and for all time. He has come at the time when God’s work is being completed. He has come to do away with sin by offering himself. People have to die once. After that, God will judge them." (Hebrews).
So you need to be alarmed by is Roumie is Roman Catholic and not just lay one, here is his pedigree:

He opposes abortion, Catholic University of America commencement speaker: Roumie will speak at the Catholic University of America's spring 2024 commencement and receive an honorary doctoral degree Knights of Columbus member, Roumie received an honorary lifetime membership to the Knights of Columbus. It is very clear Roumie's loyalty to Roman Catholic Church is well established, he is not just a run of the mill Catholic actor or Actor playing Jesus in Catholic film, Roumie is invested in Roman Catholic Church (see the pedigree above again). So when you try to use him as window to depict The Word of God in The Chosen, you are going to see the false Romanite version, not The Biblical Jesus. This cannot be helped, Roumie is with Rome, and Rome is not the True Church as found in The New Testament and in our world today, The Ecclesia. The Roman Catholic Church is a cult that masquerades as Christ's Church, "And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light." (2 Corinthians 11:14)
I am not against Roumie personally, its on principle as a Protestant who sees via Scripture that Roman Catholic Church is not Christ's Church. The Reformation happened for a reason. Martin Luther and Proto-Reformers before Him and Contemporaries like Zwingli saw that the Church of New Testament, The Teaching of the Apostles (Acts 2:42, Acts 15:1-11) had been obscured by man made doctrines, ""Jesus replied, “You hypocrites! Isaiah was right when he prophesied about you, for he wrote,‘These people honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me. Their worship is a farce,
for they teach man-made ideas as commands from God.’ For you ignore God’s law and substitute your own tradition.”Then he said, “You skillfully sidestep God’s law in order to hold on to your own tradition. For instance, Moses gave you this law from God: ‘Honor your father and mother,’ and ‘Anyone who speaks disrespectfully of father or mother must be put to death.’But
you say it is all right for people to say to their parents, ‘Sorry, I
can’t help you. For I have vowed to give to God what I would have given
to you.’ In this way, you let them disregard their needy parents. And so you cancel the word of God in order to hand down your own tradition. And this is only one example among many others." (Mark 7:6-13). The Roman Clergy had done as Pharisees had done, "Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You shut
the door of the kingdom of heaven in people’s faces. You yourselves do
not enter, nor will you let those enter who are trying to." (Matthew 23:13). I am blunt because souls are at stake! The Roman Church is not Jesus' Church, remember Rome killed Jesus, and most the apostles, and killed so many Christians for centuries under Emperors as demonic as Nero. They still are the enemy, only this time its just spiritually. We must resist their doctrines, the doctrines of demons, "The Spirit clearly says that in later times some will abandon the faith
and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons," (1 Timothy 4:1) and their false gospel (Galatians 1:8-9, and false christ (Matthew 24:24). Jesus is in the Scriptures and in the spirit you can commune with Him. There is no barriers of sacraments and saints or virgins, the veil was torn, "When Jesus had cried out again in a loud voice, he gave up his spirit. At that moment the curtain of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom. The earth shook, the rocks split" (Matthew 27:50-51). Rome has tried to put it back up, but they had it re-torn with The Reformation.
What of people who get saved watching Roumie's performance in The Chosen? Well I then say that is grand. But will they we lured into the Roman Church and then imperil their souls with doctrines of demons? We must be careful to approve of something just because its effective, when the source of it is not Scriptural and comes from a person dedicated to doctrines by false apostles (2 Corinthians 11:13-15). The Holy Spirit may use a performance because there is no other one, we Protestants are not making Biblical films enough, at least not on a large budget. So the vacuum is filled by Rome and Mormons, but those are not true churches and the infection of their false doctrines, heterodoxical beliefs will be there and poison people spiritually.
My recommendation is to avoid the Roman roads.. to have nothing to do with their media. Once more I reiterate I do not have a personal beef with Roumie, he is deceived by The Harlot of Rome who deceives over 2 Billion people world wide. I suggest we pray for Him, Jim Cavizel, and other Catholic influencers to wake up as Martin Luther did, for Luther was Roman Catholic Monk who became the leader The Reformation. Until then, I suggest boycotting a lot of their works and not fund Rome. What about The Jesus Revolution Movie that is by Greg Laurie, a Protestant Pastor? Well that stars Roumie, and honestly upon re watching I did not find it edifying, and instead it highlights why God had to do a revival outside the institutional churches; the movie inaccurately claims Laurie, Frisbee, and etc were architects, they were not, the Holy Spirit was.
