Most anime have demons. Inuyasha is literally about a half breed demon who is a hero who falls in love with a human school girl. Demon Slayer has battling demons but one of main’s has sister who is a demon. Elfin Lied is a girl capable of great carnage with soften horns like a demon. Please Teacher is a Humanoid alien that marries a student, but it reminds me of Genesis 6 romance only in reverse sexes. Anime really popularizes demons and aliens with human love interests, and even more alarming is we are suppose to sympathize with paradox of a good demon. There is no such thing as a good demon or redeemed fallen angel, hell was created for them, “Then He will say to those on His left, ‘Leave Me, you cursed ones, into the eternal fire which has been prepared for the devil and his angels (demons).” (Matthew 25:41). Hell itself was created for the evil angels and their offsprings the demons who were creates by angels having sex with women (Genesis 6:4-12) which is why God flooded the earth.
There is no redemption for the devils and demons, “For if God did not spare angels when they sinned, but cast them into hell and committed them to chains of gloomy darkness to be kept until the judgment,” (2 Peter 2:4, these particular angels are Genesis 6 ones who had sex with women and begat children, “And the angels who did not stay within their own position of authority, but left their proper dwelling, he has kept in eternal chains under gloomy darkness until the judgment of the great day—”-Jude 1:6), and yet a plethora of anime has demons & fallen angels as love interests, and heroes. This is concerning because it garners sympathy for evil spirits, that somehow they may like humans be redeemed through love and turning good. We are not to enter relationships with evil spirits but to judge them, “Do you not know that we will judge angels? How much more the things of this life!” (1 Corinthians 6:3). We are allowed to judge them because Jesus The Lord God lives in us and we in Him, “All who declare that Jesus is the Son of God have God living in them, and they live in God.” (1 John 4:15).
While not anime, the look and style of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is anime/ manga, and in it the Zonai are an animal like race, many of them look goat like which hearkens to “So they shall no more sacrifice their sacrifices to goat demons, after whom they whore (Zelda’s ancestor in Tears of the Kingdom had sex with goat like Zonai to create the Hyrule Royal Line!). This shall be a statute forever for them throughout their generations” (Leviticus 17:7). The Zonai come from the heavens and interbreed with Hylians just like Genesis 6 angels had sex with human women. We are seeing a lot of this illegal and evil interbreeding and relationships with angels, demons, and aliens in movies, anime, shows, and video games! It is alarming because the devil and his angels & demons are the enemy of our Lord Jesus and us!, “You cannot drink the cup of the Lord and the cup of demons. You cannot partake of the table of the Lord and the table of demons,” (1 Corinthians 10:21), “No, I imply that what pagans sacrifice they offer to demons and not to God. I do not want you to be participants with demons,” (1 Corinthians 10:20),
“I will not speak with you much longer, for the ruler of the world (Satan) is coming. And he has no place in Me & no power over Me no anything that he can use against Me,” (John 14:30), “Jesus said to him, “Away from me, Satan! For it is written: ‘Worship the Lord your God, and serve him only,” (Matthew 4:10), “And whenever the unclean spirits saw him, they fell down before him and cried out, “You are the Son of God,” (Mark 3:11), “That evening they brought to Jesus many who were oppressed by demons, and he cast out the spirits with a word and healed all who were sick,” (Mathew 8:16), and “When the unclean spirit has gone out of a person, it passes through waterless places seeking rest, but finds none. Then it says, ‘I will return to my house from which I came.’ And when it comes, it finds the house empty, swept, and put in order. Then it goes and brings with it seven other spirits more evil than itself, and they enter and dwell there, and the last state of that person is worse than the first. So also will it be with this evil generation.” (Matthew 12:43-45).
The true nature of demons & fallen angels is violence, “And when He came to the other side into the country of the Gadarenes, two demon-possessed men confronted Him as they were coming out of the tombs. They were so extremely violent that no one could pass by that way. And they cried out, saying, “What business do You have with us, Son of God? Have You come here to torment us before the time?” Now there was a herd of many pigs feeding at a distance from them. And the demons begged Him, saying, “If You are going to cast us out, send us into the herd of pigs.” And He said to them, “Go!” And they came out and went into the pigs; and behold, the whole herd rushed down the steep bank into the sea and drowned in the waters. And the herdsmen ran away, and went to the city and reported everything, including what had happened to the demon-possessed men,” (Matthew 8:28-31), and “Then the man with the evil spirit jumped on them and overpowered them all. The attack was so violent that they ran out of the house naked and wounded.” (Acts 19:15-16), and “ “And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels, and prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven. And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceives the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.” (Revelation 12:7-9)
We are called to caste out demons, not enter romantic relationships with them as in anime, “And these signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues.” (Mark 16:15), and “And also some women who had been healed of evil spirits and infirmities: Mary, called Magdalene, from whom seven demons had been caste out,” (Luke 8:2).. We really need to be careful of letting entertainment create a door to demons and the fallen angels! That we would feel sorry for evil spirits and have them portrayed as attractive in anime is folly! They are not friends, they are our enemies!, “For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.” (Ephesians 6:12).
It is a sign of the end times entertainment is propping up demons, devils, fallen angels, and Satan, “Now the Spirit expressly says that in later times some will depart from the faith by devoting themselves to deceitful spirits and teachings of demons.” (1 Timothy 4:1). In fact people will be worshipping demons in these end of days, “The rest of mankind, who were not killed by these plagues, did not repent of the works of their hands nor give up worshiping demons and idols of gold and silver and bronze and stone and wood, which cannot see or hear or walk.” (Revelation 9:20). We are not to participate with demons, even in entertainment! For entertainment is doing the teachings of demons! The demons do signs to deceive people, “For they are demonic spirits, performing signs, who go abroad to the kings of the whole world, to assemble them for battle on the great day of God the Almighty.” (Revelation 16:14). And do not think they won’t use media to lead people astray like anime! We must not give an inch to the devil and his demons! No place in our hearts or minds, but guard them in Christ, “And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:7). Amen.
