Dark Times

We seem to be living in times of great uncertainty, of witchcraft and doubt caste on all authority. People now listen to no one save those that tickle their itching ears, “For the time will come when people will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear.” (2 Timothy 4:3). To claim there are absolutes, that God abhors anything is grounds for being labeled a bigot.

Our world is spiraling into chaos, as people try to throw off definitions that people have accepted for eons, oh but this new thinking is so much more ‘enlightened’! They say they can reinvent the wheel and call not a wheel. Sigh. The hubris that has taken hold as each person calls someone in whom they disagree ‘fake’ and other names. How

Factitious mankind has become, The Church especially which splits asunder over each individual who now has the ‘orthodoxy’ and the right thinking. How long till community is completely eradicated as each person becomes an expert that will not yield to another on any ground, dying on every hill.

Even the Bible is no longer solace, as saints argue over Alexandrian, Textus Receptus, Masoretic, and Septuagint, and other sources of the Testaments. The Scriptures that use to unite us, now saints “bite and devour one another” (Galatians 5:15) over, when often the disputed word in a sentence really makes no difference in the grand scheme of things.

We are so happy to be solitary islands of wisdom! Knowing better than all the islands around us, all 6 Billion plus people.

Will anyone be able to teach anymore? When each person decrying even the most exhaustive , reliable, and authoritative of sources; Pulling out their hidden site, with obscure writer or video maker who knows all!

Trust is on a burning pyre, as everyone questions even things that are undisputed. Old arguments return as people try to be ‘sages’ claiming revelation and supreme rightness. Rather than schisms of churches, it has turned to individuals, with each person in a congregation now their own church of one, who knows the ‘truth’

Funny, that is not how Church was and is to be, “All the believers devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching, and to fellowship, and to sharing in meals (including the Lord’s Supper), and to prayer.” (Acts 2:42). How can we even come together to celebrate the Communion and unite in faith if we consider each other heretics, and pseudomites because of our special knowledge and sources that we accumulate to stoke our own egos as the cost of loving one another.

We certainly should test all teaching with Scripture and The Holy Spirit (). But the dissenters, the factionites, and those who have their cult of ‘real’ news and data are trying to even caste doubt on the God Breathed oracles of Scripture. God condemn them! For they are a Synagogue of Satan! Who is all about dividing people and puffing up conceit in men.

We must resist! We must hold fast to The Scriptures, trust in The Holy Trinity, and not be so closed minded we don’t listen to truth and  expertise when it is spoken. Yes test all with Scripture and Spirit, but do not harden your hearts, and tear down authority to make yourself an authority. Amen.

The Potrait of Jesus: What Christ Looked Like

What was Jesus’s appearance? Pseudo-historians at National Geographic and other publications argue that Jesus’ humanity was of Arab or African descent. This is impossible because Jesus our God was Son of David according to His flesh, “He promised beforehand through His prophets in the Holy Scriptures, regarding His Son, who was a descendant of David according to the flesh, and who through the Spirit of holiness was declared with power to be the Son of God by His resurrection from the dead: Jesus Christ our Lord (God),” (Romans 1:2-4), and King David was described as the following, “So he sent and brought him in. Now he was ruddy [red, ruddy, from the word admowniy {ad-mo-nee'}; from 'adam ; reddish of the hair or the complexion red, ruddy], with beautiful eyes and a handsome appearance. And the LORD said, "Arise, anoint him; for this is he. So Samuel took the horn of oil and anointed him in the presence of his brothers, and from that day on the Spirit of the LORD came ...

Dispensationalism

John Nelson Darby (1800-1882) was a man who did two things, he took 70th week of the Book of Daniel and stretched out to the End Times, and he was the father of  Dispensationalism , a belief system that God dispenses different peoples with separate blessings and covenants. According to Darb'ys doctrine of Dispensationalism, God dispenses different covenants. There are total of seven dispensations that divide the history of man: I. Dispensation of Innocence (prior to the Fall, "Do not east of the Fruit of Good and Eve, Eden), II. Dispensation of Conscience ( You must assuage guilt and sin with blood sacrifices.) III. Dispensation of Human Government (Multiply and Subdue the world, example the Tower of Babel Gen 11:1-9, and Genesis 1:28). IV. Dispensation of the Promise (Dwell in Canaan, Jerusalem) V. Dispensation of the Law ("Obey the Law of Moses and the Prophets"). VI. Dispensation of Grace (The Church, Jesus Christ has come...

Orthodox Christianity and Messianic Judaism

There is a divide between the two sides of Christianity. One is lined by a rosary, the other with tallit (prayer shawl). In the west we tend to come from a Greco-Roman understanding of The Bible and Jesus Christ. We are saturated with images of the Crucifixion and see through the red lens of Calvary. Now The Messianic or Jewish perspective is becoming more prevalent as people begin to study the roots of the Christian faith. After all, Jesus was a Jew and his Twelve Disciples were all Jews of different sects and positions in society. By studying the Jewish roots of Jesus we come to understand the ancient customs, practices, rites, and traditions that are featured in the Old and New Testaments. We learn in Jewish tradition that a Rabbi had to be ordained by two rabbis and that when Jesus was asked, "by who's authority do you say these things?, (Luke 20:2)" the Pharisees were asking who had ordained Jesus and where he got his yoke (teachings), and Jesus responds, "wh...
