Today was Palm Sunday, which is when Jesus our Lord entered into Jerusalem on a donkey to begin the slavic work He’d accomplish on the cross, and rising from the dead. It is a time when we sing aloud that The Lamb of God came and was slain for our follies. It is a moment when we should raise the palm leaves high and praise Christ who came to die. God came to die so that eternal death would have to claim, that in His Holy Name we would have no shame and tame flesh that hates reins through His reign.
This Palm Sunday I think of the palms pierced for us, and that a similar day will happen when we raise up palms of flesh (hands) to shout “Hosanna in the Highest” as Jesus comes on the clouds! How glorious that all of it is connected like a beautiful tapestry of God’s love and history that unfolded and is unfolding! Let us rejoice that Palm Sunday happened, and that it shall happen once more as we meet our Savior in the sky. Amen
