The Return of The Star of Bethlehem

For the first time since the Middle Ages, and Roman Times, the Star of Bethlehem will be returning in the sky tonight on Dec 21st, 2020! The star that guided the Magi to come and worship our Lord Jesus Christ shall be seen by us! A phenomenon that only happens over every thousand years!

The significance of this sign in the heavens cannot be understated. 2020 has been a tumultuous year, and if there was any doubt we are living in the end times  and that “everything is being shaken that can be shaken,” (Hebrews 12:26-29) that is now dispelled. The appearance of the Star of Bethlehem tonight I believe is two fold. It is a reminder of our blessed hope in Jesus Christ, our God and Savior who came 2020yrs ago in human flesh as a baby. The First Advent transformed human history  as God became a man and would grow up to bear our sins on the cross and rise from the dead, ascend to heaven and rule at the right hand of the Father.

The second purpose of the Star of Bethlehem is to remind us that Jesus Christ is coming soon. In the Gospel of Matthew we are told that a sign shall precede Christ’s coming on the clouds, “Then will appear in heaven the sign of the Son of Man, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.

And he will send out his angels with a loud trumpet call, and they will gather his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.” (Matthew 24:30-31). The sign that appears in the heavens before Jesus comes on the clouds during his bodily return had been speculated by theologians like John Chrysostom to be a cross and others to be the Star of Bethlehem. The truth is the Bethlehem Star is in the shape of a pointed cross. It id very possible this heralding light is telling us Christ is returning neigh soon! This could be the sign mentioned by our Lord Jesus in the gospel! Regardless we should be ready at any moment for the Lord’s Return, “Therefore you also must be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect.” (Matthew 24:44). But how do we get ready for His return? Our Lord tells us what to do and not to do, “Who then is the faithful and wise servant, whom his master has set over his household, to give them their food at the proper time? Blessed is that servant whom his master will find so doing when he comes.Truly, I say to you, he will set him over all his possessions. But if that wicked servant says to himself, 'My master is delayed,'

and begins to beat his fellow servants and eats and drinks with drunkards, the master of that servant will come on a day when he does not expect him and at an hour he does not know and will cut him in pieces and put him with the hypocrites. In that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth: And throw them into the fiery furnace. In that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.” (Matthew 24:45-51, Matthew 13:42) and admonishes us to not be caught naked, “Behold, I am coming like a thief. Blessed is he who stays awake and who keeps his clothes [that is, stays spiritually ready for the Lord’s return], so that he will not be naked—spiritually unprepared—and men will not see his shame.” (Revelation 16:15 AMP).

The Coming of the Star of Bethlehem is a sign in the heavens. It is signal from the Lord God Trinity to prepare! To remember when it first shone in the time of Cesar Augustus, and believe in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, and for the saints to make ready for the Return of Christ! For we are receiving a privilege, a mighty brazer in black sky that declares the time is short! Its time to get spiritual clean, to put away false gods (Yoga and etc), to seek a close relationship with The Holy Trinity, and to be spiritually sensitive to the Lord’s voice. Let us not ignore this message from heaven in the cosmos! Remember only the Shepherds and Magi came to honor Jesus in the Manger, the rest of Israel ignored the Star and slept, hence the words of Jesus about his Return being “stay awake!” Yes, stay spiritually awake, for Christ is coming soon! Amen.

Israel’s Conquest of Canaan: The Nephilim and Giants

Christianity Today asserts that the conquest of Canaan can be a “stumbling block” for believers. This probably is because of a foolish idea of comparing it to a modern conquest happening in our world. The truth is that God had Israel conquer Canaan because it was ruled by evil giants, “We saw the Nephilim there (the descendants of Anak come from the Nephilim). We seemed like grasshoppers in our own eyes, and we looked the same to them.” (Numbers 13:33). These are Anakim or Nephilim, the children of angels and human women, “When man began to multiply on the face of the land and daughters were born to them, the sons of God (angels) saw that the daughters of man were attractive. And they took as their wives any they chose. Then the LORD said, “My Spirit shall not abide in man forever, for he is flesh: his days shall be 120 years.” The Nephilim were on the earth in those days, and also afterward, when the sons of God came in to the daughters of man and they bore children to them. The...

Dispensationalism

John Nelson Darby (1800-1882) was a man who did two things, he took 70th week of the Book of Daniel and stretched out to the End Times, and he was the father of  Dispensationalism , a belief system that God dispenses different peoples with separate blessings and covenants. According to Darb'ys doctrine of Dispensationalism, God dispenses different covenants. There are total of seven dispensations that divide the history of man: I. Dispensation of Innocence (prior to the Fall, "Do not east of the Fruit of Good and Eve, Eden), II. Dispensation of Conscience ( You must assuage guilt and sin with blood sacrifices.) III. Dispensation of Human Government (Multiply and Subdue the world, example the Tower of Babel Gen 11:1-9, and Genesis 1:28). IV. Dispensation of the Promise (Dwell in Canaan, Jerusalem) V. Dispensation of the Law ("Obey the Law of Moses and the Prophets"). VI. Dispensation of Grace (The Church, Jesus Christ has come...

Jesus’ Name in Aramaic

There has been a trend to render Jesus’ name Hebrew, יֵשׁוּעַ , Yeshua. The problem is neither Christ nor his apostles, nor the Jews in 30-33 A.D. spoke Hebrew, they spoke Aramaic. A ramaic is the oldest language on earth and was the language Jesus spoke. In fact, the oldest Old Testament is the Septuagint a Greco translation around 132 B.C.E. (165 Years Before Christ)that was translated from Aramaic. The Masoretic Text, The Hebrew Old Testament most Bibles use, dates from 7th to 10th Century A.D. (Medieval Times).  This translation does not cross reference with the words of Christ in the New Testament which are Aramaic and Koine Greek.  If the Aramaic was what Jesus spoke, then by what name would have been called? Jesus’ name in Aramaic is Isho or Eesho, spelled ܝܫܘܥ . That is the name of our Lord in Aramaic! He would have heard his name in this dialect, “Hail Isho or Eesho!” as well as the Greek, Ἰ ησο ῦ ς , Iesous.  Aramaic is disappearing, only a few peop...
