Precious Jesus

In these times we can become despairing as darkness seems to engulf our world. And yet there is One we can turn to, Jesus. Yes, Jesus, Master, Savior, Lord and God. Hopelessness is hanging on many, but we have Hope itself, Jesus. He is within us (Colossians 1:27), and ever around us. We may not see Him, but He is there. We see not the air we breath, or the wind, or the hidden cells inside our bodies, but we know they are there. Jesus fights for us. Daily He is at the Right Hand of the Father (Acts 7:55-56) pleading for us (1 John 2:1-3), and yet is here inside us (1 John 4:15) at the same time. Jesus speaks to each of us as precious friends, children, and family; He loves us and sees our woe.

Jesus is our precious Savior. The world and its powers seek to rob people of hope; to sow disillusionment. This is happening to believers through the frailties and failures in the Church, which are used by the enemy to try and erode our Lord Emmanuel’s good name. And yet these powers fail to understand our devotion to Jesus, precious Jesus. Men may fail us, but He has never failed us! Jesus is more than our King, more than our Leader, and more than words. Jesus is the air we breath, God Incarnate who paid our debt to hell and cleanses us in His own blood! Jesus being God did not leave us in our sorrowful state, but took on mortal flesh to be flailed and pierced so that though the hardships of this life may tear at our bodies, and weight on our feelings, our eternal dwelling is settled in heaven,  and we have full access to God the Trinity (Ephesians 2:18, Hebrews 10:19).

The devil uses trials and troubles to fixate our energies and fears on obstacles. When we should keep our eyes fixed on our Precious Jesus (Hebrews 12:2). We must remember not to let storms obscure the Lord. As Peter took His eyes of Jesus (Matthew 14:30) and sank. Jesus must be precious to us. Yes, we were so dear and precious to Him that he bore our sins while we were his enemies!, “Therefore, since we have now been justified by His blood, how much more shall we be saved from wrath through Him! For if, when we were enemies of God, we were reconciled to Him through the death of His Son, how much more, having been reconciled, shall we be saved through His life! 11Not only that, but we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received reconciliation.” (Romans 5:9-11).

Jesus is Precious. He is more valuable than all the gold and more delightful than all pleasure. He is God and our friend, and every second with Him is paradise: in fact, Paradise is described as being with Him in the flesh always (Revelation 21:3-4). Jesus is precious, He is love (1 John 4:8) and in His presence you will feel completely accepted, completely loved, completely understood, and completely precious. Do not let this world or its prince lure you from you Precious Jesus. Do not be dizzy with the lies of disillusionment the devil is using to destroy disciples, hold fast to Jesus, trust Him and The Scriptures that testify in Matthew to Revelation that Jesus is Precious and worth enduring for (Revelation 14:12, Matthew 24:13). Remember He endured the cross because of the joy set before Him (us), “fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.” (Hebrews 12:2), so let is endure tribulation for the joy set before us; that we may be with our Precious Jesus in paradise and perpetual joy forever! Amen.

Israel’s Conquest of Canaan: The Nephilim and Giants

Christianity Today asserts that the conquest of Canaan can be a “stumbling block” for believers. This probably is because of a foolish idea of comparing it to a modern conquest happening in our world. The truth is that God had Israel conquer Canaan because it was ruled by evil giants, “We saw the Nephilim there (the descendants of Anak come from the Nephilim). We seemed like grasshoppers in our own eyes, and we looked the same to them.” (Numbers 13:33). These are Anakim or Nephilim, the children of angels and human women, “When man began to multiply on the face of the land and daughters were born to them, the sons of God (angels) saw that the daughters of man were attractive. And they took as their wives any they chose. Then the LORD said, “My Spirit shall not abide in man forever, for he is flesh: his days shall be 120 years.” The Nephilim were on the earth in those days, and also afterward, when the sons of God came in to the daughters of man and they bore children to them. The...

Dispensationalism

John Nelson Darby (1800-1882) was a man who did two things, he took 70th week of the Book of Daniel and stretched out to the End Times, and he was the father of  Dispensationalism , a belief system that God dispenses different peoples with separate blessings and covenants. According to Darb'ys doctrine of Dispensationalism, God dispenses different covenants. There are total of seven dispensations that divide the history of man: I. Dispensation of Innocence (prior to the Fall, "Do not east of the Fruit of Good and Eve, Eden), II. Dispensation of Conscience ( You must assuage guilt and sin with blood sacrifices.) III. Dispensation of Human Government (Multiply and Subdue the world, example the Tower of Babel Gen 11:1-9, and Genesis 1:28). IV. Dispensation of the Promise (Dwell in Canaan, Jerusalem) V. Dispensation of the Law ("Obey the Law of Moses and the Prophets"). VI. Dispensation of Grace (The Church, Jesus Christ has come...

Jesus’ Name in Aramaic

There has been a trend to render Jesus’ name Hebrew, יֵשׁוּעַ , Yeshua. The problem is neither Christ nor his apostles, nor the Jews in 30-33 A.D. spoke Hebrew, they spoke Aramaic. A ramaic is the oldest language on earth and was the language Jesus spoke. In fact, the oldest Old Testament is the Septuagint a Greco translation around 132 B.C.E. (165 Years Before Christ)that was translated from Aramaic. The Masoretic Text, The Hebrew Old Testament most Bibles use, dates from 7th to 10th Century A.D. (Medieval Times).  This translation does not cross reference with the words of Christ in the New Testament which are Aramaic and Koine Greek.  If the Aramaic was what Jesus spoke, then by what name would have been called? Jesus’ name in Aramaic is Isho or Eesho, spelled ܝܫܘܥ . That is the name of our Lord in Aramaic! He would have heard his name in this dialect, “Hail Isho or Eesho!” as well as the Greek, Ἰ ησο ῦ ς , Iesous.  Aramaic is disappearing, only a few peop...
