The Door

The door of our hearts is a place Christ knocks. There is the first knock, when our Lord and God seeks to enter for first time, the moment when we receive Him as Lord and Savior, "Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and eat with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20). However, the knocking does not end with this first entry into our hearts. Often despite Christ now abiding and living in us, we can find our hearts heavy with pain, problems, and purpose. In time Jesus will knock again, being persistent to get our attention, to connect with us, but the truth is, even with Christ living inside us (Colossians 1:27), we must answer in door of our heart, respond to His request to spend time with us. The Apostle Paul says, "And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." (Philippians 4:7). This peace comes from Jesus if we let it in, otherwise the worries of this life and deceitfulness of riches can choke Him out (Mark). Once again Paul says, "Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus." (Philippians 4:6-7). Jesus and the Father and the Holy Spirit are omnipresent (always present, individually with each of us), the Godhead lives inside us, and yet many brothers and sisters feel at times dry, as if in craggy valley of the shadow of death. It is in these moments of testing and trial that Christ will knock things in our lives while simultaneously knocking at the door of our hearts. The Lord will shake up the things in our lives, "At that time His voice shook the earth, but now He has promised,Once more I will shake not only the earth, but heaven as well. This phrase, “Yet once more,” indicates the removal of things that are shaken—that is, things that have been made—in order that the things that cannot be shaken may remain." (Hebrews 1226-:27).

There is great shaking coming, and is even happening now, major testing are coming to every heart of every believer, "Then they will hand you over to be persecuted and killed, and you will be hated by all nations on account of My name. At that time many will turn away from the faith and will betray and hate each other, and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people. And because lawlessness will be increased, the love of many will grow cold. But the one who endures to the end will be saved," (Matthew 24:9-13), "But whoever denies Me before men, I will also deny him before My Father in heaven, [this is qualifying for Jesus cutting you from your family, if they do this they are cut from you] Do not think that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I have not come to bring peace, but a sword (Revelation 19::13-15). For I have come to set a man against his father, and a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law. a man's enemies will be the members of his own household," (Matthew 10:33-36), "You should know this, Timothy, that in the last days there will be very difficult times. For people will love only themselves and their money. They will be boastful and proud, scoffing at God, disobedient to their parents, and ungrateful. They will consider nothing sacred. They will be unloving and unforgiving; they will slander others and have no self-control. They will be cruel and hate what is good. They will betray their friends, be reckless, be puffed up with pride, and love pleasure rather than God. They will act religious, but they will reject the power that could make them godly. Stay away from people like that!," (2 Timothy 3), and, "There will be many false christs and false prophets who will works wonders and signs to deceive if possible the Elect of God (Saints)." (Matthew 24:24). We are certainly in the times of shaking that is foretold by author of Hebrews, and many believers shall have to endure many losses. I believe this is why we must more than every head the gentle knock of Christ in our hearts, and listen to His voice, for only He shall get us through the tough times ahead. We cannot be content to attend church services, we must open the door of our hearts to our Lord and God, and spend time with him in private prayer and bask in His presence. I believe the Apostle Paul was trying to prepare us for what is now certainly here, his words of Church of Philippi are crucial to our standing firm, "Yes, everything else is worthless when compared with the infinite value of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. For his sake I have discarded everything else, counting it all as garbage, so that I could gain Christ./Indeed, I count everything as loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. For his sake I have suffered the loss of all things and count them as rubbish, in order that I may gain Christ." (Philippians 3:8).

In short brothers and sisters, we are in shaking and the falling away Jesus spoke of. This is the end of days, and we need more than ever to head the knock of Christ and His voice. Count Christ as your prize, count all other things as worthless, for they will be shaken, but Christ cannot be shaken, He is the Rock (1 Corinthians 10:4) and He is God (Colossians 2:9) who cannot be shaken. Remember that Jesus Christ is the only door and gate of salvation, "I am the door. If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture. The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly." (John 10:9 NKJV, cross ref John 14:6, Acts 4:10-12). Seize hold and enter through that door which is Christ daily, and let Him open the door of your heart, so that you may abide with Him daily, "Remain in me, as I also remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me." (John 15:4). Amen.

Israel’s Conquest of Canaan: The Nephilim and Giants

Christianity Today asserts that the conquest of Canaan can be a “stumbling block” for believers. This probably is because of a foolish idea of comparing it to a modern conquest happening in our world. The truth is that God had Israel conquer Canaan because it was ruled by evil giants, “We saw the Nephilim there (the descendants of Anak come from the Nephilim). We seemed like grasshoppers in our own eyes, and we looked the same to them.” (Numbers 13:33). These are Anakim or Nephilim, the children of angels and human women, “When man began to multiply on the face of the land and daughters were born to them, the sons of God (angels) saw that the daughters of man were attractive. And they took as their wives any they chose. Then the LORD said, “My Spirit shall not abide in man forever, for he is flesh: his days shall be 120 years.” The Nephilim were on the earth in those days, and also afterward, when the sons of God came in to the daughters of man and they bore children to them. Dispensationalism

John Nelson Darby (1800-1882) was a man who did two things, he took 70th week of the Book of Daniel and stretched out to the End Times, and he was the father of  Dispensationalism , a belief system that God dispenses different peoples with separate blessings and covenants. According to Darb'ys doctrine of Dispensationalism, God dispenses different covenants. There are total of seven dispensations that divide the history of man: I. Dispensation of Innocence (prior to the Fall, "Do not east of the Fruit of Good and Eve, Eden), II. Dispensation of Conscience ( You must assuage guilt and sin with blood sacrifices.) III. Dispensation of Human Government (Multiply and Subdue the world, example the Tower of Babel Gen 11:1-9, and Genesis 1:28). IV. Dispensation of the Promise (Dwell in Canaan, Jerusalem) V. Dispensation of the Law ("Obey the Law of Moses and the Prophets"). VI. Dispensation of Grace (The Church, Jesus Christ has come and died for our sins an

Jesus’ Name in Aramaic

There has been a trend to render Jesus’ name Hebrew, יֵשׁוּעַ , Yeshua. The problem is neither Christ nor his apostles, nor the Jews in 30-33 A.D. spoke Hebrew, they spoke Aramaic. A ramaic is the oldest language on earth and was the language Jesus spoke. In fact, the oldest Old Testament is the Septuagint a Greco translation around 132 B.C.E. (165 Years Before Christ)that was translated from Aramaic. The Masoretic Text, The Hebrew Old Testament most Bibles use, dates from 7th to 10th Century A.D. (Medieval Times).  This translation does not cross reference with the words of Christ in the New Testament which are Aramaic and Koine Greek.  If the Aramaic was what Jesus spoke, then by what name would have been called? Jesus’ name in Aramaic is Isho or Eesho, spelled ܝܫܘܥ . That is the name of our Lord in Aramaic! He would have heard his name in this dialect, “Hail Isho or Eesho!” as well as the Greek, Ἰ ησο ῦ ς , Iesous.  Aramaic is disappearing, only a few people are endeavo
