Communism was touted by the Marx Brothers and other socialists as the answer to the human condition. It was believed to be the way to create equality, but its true face was envy. The Communists in Russia (Stalin), Germany (Hitler), China (Moa), Italy (Mussolini), Romania (Ceausescu), Yugoslavia (Tito) and more all became communists. What happened was the largest exchange of wealth from the private sector (citizens) to the communist leaders. Adolf Hitler alone amassed a incredible collection of art and religious relics for himself (see Monument's Men) and intended to keep it for himself and his loyal officers. Russia under communism became an arid Iceland where creativity died and personal ownership was regulated.
Far from being salvation, communism really is the embodiment of a spirit of jealousy and envy. The apostle James said, "For where you have envy and selfish ambition, there you find disorder and every evil practice." (James 3:16). It was envy and selfish ambition that motivated the communist leaders. They wanted everything and decided to empty the houses of the rightful owners, the museums, and private collectors of every beautiful thing. The spirit of communism is still strong in ISIS/ISIL and terrorists who take what is not theirs and instead of keeping it, destroy it so no one may have it. They claim to do this in name of their god and religion, but it is clearly an evil practice to deprive people of what they cannot have because of their beliefs.
Communism is a cancer that creates unthankful hearts in people. It has bled into the United States under the Occupy Movement and other local protests that claim they deserve more, that they want "their fair share." This is what the apostle James meant, "But if you have bitter jealousy and selfish ambition in your heart, do not be arrogant and so lie against the truth. For jealousy and selfishness are not God's kind of wisdom. Such things are earthly, unspiritual, and demonic." (James 3:15-16). The powers behind communism are demonic. They want to steal from people, which is the nature of Satan whom Jesus says comes to "kill, steal, and destroy.." (John 10:10). It is said that bitterness and ambition created Adolf Hitler who had intended to become a famous painter, but was denied his first dream and so in bitterness and envy, he became leader of communist party and then the head of The Third Reich which brought terror to Europe, and slayed 12 Million Christians and 7 Million Jews (Rosemary Schindler, Oscar Schindler's niece). Communism claims to make everyone equal, but it is the party of envy and jealousy. It usurps the order, and transfers what rightfully belongs to private citizens who earned the money to buy their prized possessions and gives it to greedy men and women who wanted those things and would never apply themselves to get them. It is laziness and covetousness that drives communism. It says let everyone be one and equal, so that none may have to work hard and serve a greater purpose, and os in this right it is against the Call of God. Covetousness is one of Ten Commandments, "Thou shalt not covet your neighbors wife, possessions, and stuff." (Deuteronomy 5:21). Communism encourages its leaders to covet and steal what they want at the expense of those who rightfully own it.
There are those that claim Jesus was the first communist or socialist. They would be wrong, for Jesus never championed earthy politics (John 6:15, Mark 12:17), Jesus never owned a home (Matthew 8:20), and His Kingdom was not of the this word (John 18:36). Now some may claim Christ endorsed communism when He said, "store up not for yourself treasures on this earth, but store up for you treasure in heaven which cannot rust, decay, and thieves cannot break in and steal." (Matthew 6:19). Communists do not think and act this way; they lay claim to earthly treasures in the name of their ideology and nationalism. The Nazis, Soviets, and others Communists did not forsake earthly goods as Jesus said, they took them with great fervor, proclaiming to be equal with their people, but in actuality lying and having the 99% for themselves. Communists are not like Christ, they are like their father the devil: "You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father's desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies.." (John 8:44). Communists say sell all your possessions alright, but they take the money and possessions for themselves and besides Jesus was not saying not to own anything, He was saying, "rather store up heavenly treasure.." Meaning it is better to have treasure in heaven, then on earth, because eternity lasts forever, earth does not, it will pass away (Revelation 21:1).
Communism is well and alive today. For first time The United States is headed there (we are currently Socialist now, not a democracy, we were for 350 years a Republic) and despite the posterity of history that shows us its failure, my nation is determined to try it. And yet as we can tell from Russia and China, you don't try Communism, you go full fledge into it, and it takes at least 70yrs to begin breaking free from it and even then the traces linger for much longer. Russian experts have even warned on the old Glen Beck show, that we in America are marching towards the Red of Communism at a unprecedented rate.
The spirit of communism is jealousy, envy, and covetousness veiled as equality, unity, and solidarity. To this day nations like Cuba and North Korea are sons of Communism. In those countries the citizens suffer, while the elite thrive as in their envy and selfish ambition. To put a stop to communism you do not employ capitalism, while it helps, capitalism becomes evil too and took on form of the Industrial Revolution. The answer to Communism is Christianity. That is why every Communist rule has expelled, exterminated, and eliminated all traces of the Church through coercion, control, and in many cases outright killing. Hitler supported his own church, called The Reich Church (which preached another gospel and deified Hitler) and he had close ties to the Vatican (Roman Catholic Church) but persecuted Christians who spoke against communism. The church only survives under communist rule in two forms: control and catacombs. The compromising Christians submit to the control of communist leaders and adjust the gospel and any beliefs to fit communism and thus distorting it and creating another gospel, which Paul says do not even listen to anyone who does this (Galatians 1:8). The compromised church thus ceases to be the Church of Christ altogether, and hopes to one day restore the truth if possible, but it has already abandoned The Truth and thus leaves only one true church lef under communism: the Catacomb Church. The catacomb church is the believers who go underground like in Romania, Russia, Germany, and China (to this day the catacomb church still exists in China). The Catacomb Church gets its name from persecuted Church of 110 A.D. to 300 A.D. under the Roman emperors that hid in catacombs of Italy and Middle East.
Communists fear Christians because they do not fear death (Philippians 1:21), they are willing to speak the truth (Ephesians 4:15), and they have connections that can hurt and even kill communism (those connections are God and man). Faith in Christ shakes communism because Jesus said "the greatest among you will be your servant," (Matthew 23:11) and "my kingdom is not of this earth" (John 18:36). Nothing about Jesus Christ and his true Church is communist, it denies the take over and seizing of stuff (stealing) and it does not support nationalism, the backbone of communism, because the kingdom of heaven is not of this earth. If Christianity is allowed free reign, people abandon communism and realize equality only can be found in Emmanuel (Jesus Christ) and not some system of man built on envy and selfish ambition (communism). Paul said, "There are no longer Jew or Gentile, Greek or Scythian, slave or free, male or female, all are one in Christ." (Galatians 3:28, Colossians 3:11). Christ not communism is the answer to unity and wholeness. Only the Creator and Savior can unite mankind in Himself (faith, Christianity). Communism is Satan's answer to Christianity, communism is trying to make people one and equal through man made means; it is a religion of the state, atheism, and often occultism is involved as was the case for Hitler, whose right hand man was an occult warlock.
Communism is against God's edict, "Be fruitful and multiply, and subdue the earth." (Genesis 1:28). Communism takes subduing from the individual and tries to apply it via the state government. This is not how it is suppose to be and explains why in the Plymouth Colony in America why all people starved when they had a commune (common) garden, but were well fed the next winter when each family had to till soil and tend to their own private gardens. In Russia the commune garden always rotted under Serfs, but the secret gardens of Serfs thrived and were lush; "Russia to this day has the most fertile soil on earth, but it has been vastly underused and Russia also had the greatest supply of pure water, but the Communist war machine factories of Soviet Era have polluted it." (A Brief History of Russia, Michael Kort, Prologue to Chapter One).
Communism kills, Christ brings life. Choose life and avoid the lie of communism.
