The number 666 means the fullness of man. The Mark of Beast is not a chip, it is not a tatoo or scar or card, it is a disposition. Because triple six is fullness of man it is codependancy, the belief that I can save and change a person or people through myself, and instead of the only saving atonement of Christ. The Mark is the epitome of pride and antichrist, because rather than needing Jesus Christ who is the only One who can save and fix you, you are determined to be christ, which is the definition of a false or antichrist: to replace Christ. It is pride to the zenith, it is what Satan said (The five I Will's in Isaiah 14:13-16). It is the belief in your head that you will be the hands to heal, rather than Immanuel. It is the actions and will to be the savior, when there is only One Savior of mankind Jesus Christ.
The Mark of Beast is rampant in society. People believe they can change those they love, if they "just love them unconditionally," "stay loyal no matter what" and prove that they can endure on their make shift-cross all the cursings, abuses, and enimity in the heart of their beloved. It is endorsed in the latest Hunger games, Mocking Jay Part II where Katniss Everdeen chooses to be with the half-crazed Peeta and spend a life reassuring him of the truth, being his savior. Peeta needs the Prince of Peace, not the Mockingjay. Two other major best selling book series and films that endorse the Mark are the "Twilight Series" which has a woman, Bell, trying to love a vampire and going as far as to become one herself to save him. The other more poignant series about a woman trying to save a man is "Fifty Shades of Grey" which is about a woman who falls in love with an abusive man, who even does sexual abuses, and in one sentence in the trailer she says, "I am losing myself in him and I like it." These stories and more are all one agenda, to get people to be saviors, instead of letting Jesus Christ be the Savior that He is. It is an ideology based in Mark of Beast, that allows in striking imagery of Fifty Shades of Grey, to make a person a beast to be beaten for the sake of those they love, to become the scapegoat and sin-eater and to change the wicked man or women through love; but it is not the love in our own hearts that can save another, it is the love of God manifest through Jesus Christ who died on cross and rose from the dead that saves (John 3:16).
Many young women fall in trap of saviorism (antichrist, the Mark) believing they can take a cocaine addict, an abusive man, or any man with one of the plethora of dangerous sinful behaviors and change him. Men do this too, taking in and loving the messed up vixen, shrew, witch, and nymphomaniac who they can change into a princess and holy woman, but discover she is a wild mare who will mare (maul) him through and through. The Mark of Beast is here and it grows daily. It is what Jesus was trying to say when he said, "If anyone comes to me and does not hate father and mother, wife and children, brothers and sisters--yes, even their own life--such a person cannot be my disciple.." (Luke 14:26, cross ref Matthew 10:37). This is because people try to be saviors to their loved ones, and thus become infected with the Mark of Beast trying to save and help their family. Jesus is saying to us to say no, and let Him be the "sword" (Matthew 10:34) to cut this strain of the antichrist out of your life by all means necessary, even if it means cutting your family out of your life for the salvation of your soul's sake. [Clarification, it is not that Jesus does not want us to love or help one another, but there is a line; you cross it when you believe you can be the savior, solution, and loving answer to their problems and needs when only Christ can save them, be heir solution, and answer. More on this below].
The Mark of Beast is real. Movies have tried tro make us think it will be a barcode on the wrist and forehead, but it really is mindset (will) and actions. Pat Roberson of CBN and the 700 Club said this first, "The Mark is not a chip, it is mindset and the hand is the actions of that mindset." It is from Pat that I got the first stepping stone to discover via the Holy Spirit that the Mark of the Beast is already fully available and it is destroying households across the globe. This is why St. John said, "The Antichrist is coming, antichrists already are among us." (1 John 2:18). There will be one Man of Sin, who is the fullness of this anarchy, pride, and antichrist desire to change people and be a countfiet savior in place of the true Savior Jesus Christ; that is why the Man of Sin will unify the world and bring peace, because he wants to bring change and pseudo-salvation through himself, not true salvation through Christ Jesus who is the changeless God who can change a sinner into a saint ().
God does not hate the lustful, the murderer (he protected one, named Cain, Genesis 4:15), the liar, the thief, or the lazy. But our Lord does hate the proud, He says, "the proud in heart an abomination to the Lord." (Proverbs 16:5), and "But He gives greater grace. Therefore He says: God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble." (James 4:6). Satan himself is the number one entity of pride. He siad "I shall ascend the heavens, I shall ascend to the throne, I shall be like God." (Isaiah 14:13-15). He then tempted mankind to intiate the Mark of Beast with disobeying God and in pride taking the Forbidden fruit of the knowledge of good and evil, which is prideful to eat, because only God knows good from evil (Genesis 3:22). Satan said, "eat this and you will become like God." (Genesis 3:5). The same words Satan tempted Adam and Eve with, are the very words he used in his boasting and pride before he waged the war in heaven, "I will make myself like The Most high." (Isaiah 14:14). This "make myself like the Most High" are the exact words behind the Mark of Beast, behind the saviorism when people believe they can be god to people and hang on the cross for them. The Mark of Beast come from its author Satan and it is in full force since the Fall of Man. It originated in Garden of Eden, it has grown here throughout the millenia, but Jesus Christ came to break it, and set us back into a relationship with Himself and His Father and the Holy Spirit that allows God to be God, and to shake the pride of the Beast and and instead feast on the only Truth and way, and life who is Jesus Christ (John 6). If we are in Christ pride dies and the Mark of Beast is removed, and a Mark of Jesus Christ, the Lamb, (Revelation 7:3, Revelation 9:4), and Seal of Holy Spirit is on us (Ephesians 1:13). But if we dare to listen to Satan and try to save people and take the place Christ and become "like the Most High"; if we believe we change, heal, make well, fix, and be god to people, we take on the mark of 666 (the fullness of man, and antichrist) and thus become slaves to the Beast (Flesh) once more.
Choose to let Christ be God and save, and let His love flow through you. Do not say, "I will be like Most High" as Satan did, but rather, "I submit to you God and resist the devil." (James 4:7).
Addendum:
I do not want to say definitively that there will be no physical mark of the beast, chip, barcode and so forth. But I wanted to propose how the Mark may actually be among us already and at work.
