The War of Our Time

Our battle is daily. The World War against our faith continues. The trenches of this unending battle are in our minds, hearts, malls, homes, and schools. I have become curious about World War I. The type of warfare, the trenches, tanks, and airplanes. Trench warfare is still considered the worst kind of warfare. The hopelessness and despair that pervades over the paladins with their pistols can overwhelm a viewer. But trench warfare is what we as Christians are engaged in. We have taken territory, our souls are in our Savior's keeping, but are enemy, the devil and his demons assail our trench.

The battle rages on daily. Our enemy fires volleys of artillery, sends in tanks, airplanes, soldiers, and spies. In our trenches we hold on to the Truth of Christ as the bombs of doubt, disbelief, fear, and terror come upon us. We see the casualties, as Christian brothers and sister fall one by one either by holding true to Faith in Christ and going to be with their Lord in death or by leaving the faith. The battle for the Truth of Jesus Christ is in the trenches and it will never end, not until Jesus Returns and brings an end to our enemy and the true and lasting peace is instituted.

Until then we must fight, battling through prayer and holding fast to our trust and belief in Jesus Christ! Though the bombs fall, though are enemy advances and assails the walls of our hearts and minds; we shall not give in! No we shall resist! (James 4:7). This war is for the souls of mankind. While we must advance the Kingdom, we must also defend our trenches and not let temptations and terrorizing spirits of this present darkness cause us to turn and run away. Stand firm! Hold your ground and do not let the devil take ground in your life! Resist! Resist! No matter how you feel, what thoughts enter your head, or the pressures and persecutions from people! Fight! Fight the good fight of faith. Fulfill the words of St. Paul, "Fight the good fight, finish the race, keep the faith." (2 Timothy 4:7). This is our battle. Daily we must stay devoted disciples of the Jesus Christ!

Some days our enemy will shell us, other times send one soldier, and on others He will send tanks and airplanes to try and cow us into submission. But we shall only submit to the Lord God! (James 4:7). Do not give up! "To die is gain!" (Philippians 1:21). Our goal is to live as long as we can, to St. Paul said, "to live is to win more souls and to help you in faith, but to die is to be with my Lord." (Philippians 1:22-26). This must be our heart. We shouldn't be fatalistic and just seek death. No we should fight in prayer, proclaiming, and living our faith! Our goal is to keep are witness until we witness Jesus Christ when we leave Battleground Earth. We should not cling to life and jeopardize our faith, nor seek death like a Samurai. We seek to live as long as it can serve God's purposes and then go home when our tour of duty is over.

Israel’s Conquest of Canaan: The Nephilim and Giants

Christianity Today asserts that the conquest of Canaan can be a “stumbling block” for believers. This probably is because of a foolish idea of comparing it to a modern conquest happening in our world. The truth is that God had Israel conquer Canaan because it was ruled by evil giants, “We saw the Nephilim there (the descendants of Anak come from the Nephilim). We seemed like grasshoppers in our own eyes, and we looked the same to them.” (Numbers 13:33). These are Anakim or Nephilim, the children of angels and human women, “When man began to multiply on the face of the land and daughters were born to them, the sons of God (angels) saw that the daughters of man were attractive. And they took as their wives any they chose. Then the LORD said, “My Spirit shall not abide in man forever, for he is flesh: his days shall be 120 years.” The Nephilim were on the earth in those days, and also afterward, when the sons of God came in to the daughters of man and they bore children to them. The...

Dispensationalism

John Nelson Darby (1800-1882) was a man who did two things, he took 70th week of the Book of Daniel and stretched out to the End Times, and he was the father of  Dispensationalism , a belief system that God dispenses different peoples with separate blessings and covenants. According to Darb'ys doctrine of Dispensationalism, God dispenses different covenants. There are total of seven dispensations that divide the history of man: I. Dispensation of Innocence (prior to the Fall, "Do not east of the Fruit of Good and Eve, Eden), II. Dispensation of Conscience ( You must assuage guilt and sin with blood sacrifices.) III. Dispensation of Human Government (Multiply and Subdue the world, example the Tower of Babel Gen 11:1-9, and Genesis 1:28). IV. Dispensation of the Promise (Dwell in Canaan, Jerusalem) V. Dispensation of the Law ("Obey the Law of Moses and the Prophets"). VI. Dispensation of Grace (The Church, Jesus Christ has come...

Jesus’ Name in Aramaic

There has been a trend to render Jesus’ name Hebrew, יֵשׁוּעַ , Yeshua. The problem is neither Christ nor his apostles, nor the Jews in 30-33 A.D. spoke Hebrew, they spoke Aramaic. A ramaic is the oldest language on earth and was the language Jesus spoke. In fact, the oldest Old Testament is the Septuagint a Greco translation around 132 B.C.E. (165 Years Before Christ)that was translated from Aramaic. The Masoretic Text, The Hebrew Old Testament most Bibles use, dates from 7th to 10th Century A.D. (Medieval Times).  This translation does not cross reference with the words of Christ in the New Testament which are Aramaic and Koine Greek.  If the Aramaic was what Jesus spoke, then by what name would have been called? Jesus’ name in Aramaic is Isho or Eesho, spelled ܝܫܘܥ . That is the name of our Lord in Aramaic! He would have heard his name in this dialect, “Hail Isho or Eesho!” as well as the Greek, Ἰ ησο ῦ ς , Iesous.  Aramaic is disappearing, only a few peop...
