Affordable Christian Jewlery

I recently discovered a affordable Christian Jewelry company by the name of Shomali. Shomali offers a variety of pendants from Mother of Pearl to Pewter. Since we live in tough economic times, I thought I would display and describe in detail pieces that are cheap but good quality items.

Note: the following items are made of pewter.

CRS2000-A The French Crucifix
This crucifix has what looks like lilies on all the four ends of the cross beams. This is significant because Christ said he was the "Lilly of the Valley." Since the lily is the Medieval symbol of France, which was one of the most pious nations, it is even more fitting.

CRS2000-B The Holy Spirit Cross
This depiction of the Holy Spirit descending like a dove alludes to when Jesus was baptized by John the Baptist in the Jorden and upon rising from the waters the Spirit of Lord descended upon Jesus like a dove. It also is meant to depict the connect between the Godhead and how Jesus did everything in accordance with the Holy Ghost.

CRS2000-C The Risen Christ Cross
This is cross and not a crucifix. Jesus is risen and ascending in front of the cross. This is an unusual cross because most crosses are plain or they are the corpus (corpse) crucifix.

CRS2000-D The Cross
This is a simple unadorned cross that any Christian of any denomination can ware. This is a perfect gift to any believer because it is not a corpus and thus does not have connection with orthodox or unorthodox churches.

CRS200-E The Corpus Crucifix
The Corpus is the most universally recognized symbols in all of Christianity next to the cross itself. In this dramatic scene Jesus has already died and his head is hanging low and to the left as is tradition. This crucifix can be found in Catholic Churches all over the world. A known fact is that crucifixes were very rare and expensive to make until the 16th century; then when they became more affordable to make devoted believers had them placed in their homes.

CRS 1000-09 The Jerusalem Cross
The Jerusalem Cross comes from The Crusades. After the First Crusade and conquest of Jerusalem by Christian armies a Cross Potent was affixed on banners and shields. The Cross Potent was changed to have four additional crosses attached making five crosses total. The Four smaller crosses allude to the Four Gospels and the Five Crosses together are symbolic of the five wounds of Christ, Citation.

CRS 1000-10 Papal Cross
This cross has an unusual x split in the center. On papal seals and other symbols of the Holy See of the Roman Catholic Church is an X that is actually a cross. It is one of the most ancient crosses.

CRS1000-11 Jesus Cross
This cross is made up of Jesus' name. Jesus is the Greek name of Christ and is the name upon which 9 Billion people call upon. This is a very artistic cross in that it makes the shape of the rood but using the letters of the Lord's name.

CRS1000-12 Ascension Cross
This cross has some common similarities to the Risen Christ Cross. However because it is modern and shows only sihilotted it is better identified as the Ascension Cross, because when Christ did ascend he disappeared into the clouds and this faceless image seems to be disappearing too.

CRS1000-13 The Resurrection Cross
The Resurrection Cross signifies that his burial robe has been lain on the cross beam because he "is not here, he is risen!"

CRS1000-14 Spanish Cross
This elaborate circular cross was used in Spain during the Reconquista. The Military Orders such as Calatrava wore crosses like this one to symbolify that they were Soldiers of Christ waging a holy war against the heath and devils.

CRS1000-15 Pilgrim Cross
This cross has what looks like two cords holding it together. It is meant to symbolize poverty and a connection with God's creation. It looks like two simple pieces of wood were fixed together by a cord and thus not some splendorous silver rood or golden crucifix. This cross was likely worn by pilgrims and monks.

CRS1000-20 Bethlehem Cross
This cross is in shape of the Star of Bethlehem, the star that guided the Three Wise Men to see Jesus Christ after his birth.

CRS1000-21 Simple Cross
This is a simple cross with no pretense or symbolism. It is meant to envoke devotion and does not require any adornment.

CRS1000-22 Light Cross
This black cross has light beams pointing in all directions. This alludes to that Jesus said when he pointed to the Hannakia Lamp, "I am the light of the world."

CRS1000-23 Georgian Cross
This cross looks almost identical to the Jerusalem cross except that the ends do not look like capital Ts and smaller crosses have V indents. The Country of Georgia uses this cross on their nation's flag to this day.

CRS1000-16 Byzantine Cross
This geometric cross has flowers on it that look like mosaics. The Byzantines were Greek Christians who lived a very opulent lifestyle. The only missing element is that it isn't made of gold.

CRS1000-18 Golgotha Cross
This cross looks like it is coming out of a large rock. It probably is alluding to Golgotha, the Skull Shaped Rock that Jesus was crucified on.

CRS1000-19 Love Cross
This cross is made up of the words "God loves you so much, so do I." This is the perfect rood for a loving person to ware and share the compassion of Christ with others.

Here is where to get these products. Remember that while the prices are cheap, the products are quality made. I can testify to their craftsmanship.

Israel’s Conquest of Canaan: The Nephilim and Giants

Christianity Today asserts that the conquest of Canaan can be a “stumbling block” for believers. This probably is because of a foolish idea of comparing it to a modern conquest happening in our world. The truth is that God had Israel conquer Canaan because it was ruled by evil giants, “We saw the Nephilim there (the descendants of Anak come from the Nephilim). We seemed like grasshoppers in our own eyes, and we looked the same to them.” (Numbers 13:33). These are Anakim or Nephilim, the children of angels and human women, “When man began to multiply on the face of the land and daughters were born to them, the sons of God (angels) saw that the daughters of man were attractive. And they took as their wives any they chose. Then the LORD said, “My Spirit shall not abide in man forever, for he is flesh: his days shall be 120 years.” The Nephilim were on the earth in those days, and also afterward, when the sons of God came in to the daughters of man and they bore children to them. The...

Dispensationalism

John Nelson Darby (1800-1882) was a man who did two things, he took 70th week of the Book of Daniel and stretched out to the End Times, and he was the father of  Dispensationalism , a belief system that God dispenses different peoples with separate blessings and covenants. According to Darb'ys doctrine of Dispensationalism, God dispenses different covenants. There are total of seven dispensations that divide the history of man: I. Dispensation of Innocence (prior to the Fall, "Do not east of the Fruit of Good and Eve, Eden), II. Dispensation of Conscience ( You must assuage guilt and sin with blood sacrifices.) III. Dispensation of Human Government (Multiply and Subdue the world, example the Tower of Babel Gen 11:1-9, and Genesis 1:28). IV. Dispensation of the Promise (Dwell in Canaan, Jerusalem) V. Dispensation of the Law ("Obey the Law of Moses and the Prophets"). VI. Dispensation of Grace (The Church, Jesus Christ has come...

Jesus’ Name in Aramaic

There has been a trend to render Jesus’ name Hebrew, יֵשׁוּעַ , Yeshua. The problem is neither Christ nor his apostles, nor the Jews in 30-33 A.D. spoke Hebrew, they spoke Aramaic. A ramaic is the oldest language on earth and was the language Jesus spoke. In fact, the oldest Old Testament is the Septuagint a Greco translation around 132 B.C.E. (165 Years Before Christ)that was translated from Aramaic. The Masoretic Text, The Hebrew Old Testament most Bibles use, dates from 7th to 10th Century A.D. (Medieval Times).  This translation does not cross reference with the words of Christ in the New Testament which are Aramaic and Koine Greek.  If the Aramaic was what Jesus spoke, then by what name would have been called? Jesus’ name in Aramaic is Isho or Eesho, spelled ܝܫܘܥ . That is the name of our Lord in Aramaic! He would have heard his name in this dialect, “Hail Isho or Eesho!” as well as the Greek, Ἰ ησο ῦ ς , Iesous.  Aramaic is disappearing, only a few peop...
