The Space Odysseys: Alien, Star Wars, Star Trek, and More

Space captivates. It is one of the few places left untouched by man. It is an “undiscovered country.” (Hamlet, Shakespeare). This fascination with the cosmos has prompted many space odysseys in Hollywood. Tales of the perils and wonders of the black void. What is common in all of these ‘masterpieces’ is antichrist sensibilities.

2001 Space Odyssey

The slow thriller of Hal and his team on space station controlled by A.I. In the form of a red eye has become a classic. Before there was Terminator, there was this movie, but unlike Skynet which turns on the human race on earth, this one does so in space. The ending has Hal becomes a spirit baby which is major belief in Mormonism, Ghana mysticism, and Buddhist Kuman Thong.

I would like to point out most of great space story creators are Buddhist. George Lucas (Star Wars) is a Methodist-Buddhist, Gene Roddenberry (Star Trek) had a Buddhist wedding, and Frank Herbert (Dune) became a Buddhist. All three of these giants of space odysseys include a universalism in their tales, George has The Force which can be interpreted as any faith, Gene had Federation that includes all peoples and religions (Klingons even), and Frank had that the main religion of Arrakas was a book that had all religious beliefs that the Houses trust.

Finding so much symbolism in these space odysseys, I have decided to look at the most popular ones and expose the underlining messages in them.

Star Wars

The swash buckling space opera with space ships took the world by storm. But at its core is a deception, one that tries to unite all religions under the banner of the mystical Force, which when explained in Empire Strikes Back is more New Age, and white and black magic in nature. Lucas went further, he demonizes Jesus, to make the messiah evil in the form of the Chosen One (this actually is the synonym for Messiah), Anakin Skywalker who in the story is born of a virgin (Shimi) and who becomes the dark lord Darth Vader. Even the values of Christianity are besieged in Revenge of the Sith when Kenobi says “only a Sith deals in absolutes,” when we Christians believe in absolutes, “Jesus said, I am the Way, the Truth and the Life, none came come to the Father except through me” (John 14:6). To solidify that Anakin/ Vader is space Jesus, Emperor Palpatine in a black hooded robe like the Madonna holds Vader’s burnt body like Mary holds Jesus torn body at the cross (Pieta). Yet what happens later is Vader becomes a tyrant, force choking people left and right, with Lucas wanting you to associate this with Christ. The fact he is even called Lord Vader (Vater, Pater, Father) is an attack on the Trinity, because we call Our God the Lord God, and Father. Also Anakin could come from the name Anakim which was among the giants (Nephilim), “Where are we going up? Our brothers have made our hearts melt, saying, “The people are greater and taller than we. The cities are great and fortified up to heaven. And besides, we have seen the sons of the Anakim there.” (Deuteronomy 1:28). So weither Anakin or Vader its evil in its inception.

Star Trek

Gene Roddenberry wastes no time in his utopia universalism of united faiths in his Federation of Planets who make crews out of all races and faiths. Perhaps the most focused on religion is the stoicism in the Vulcan belief system, who believe in purging emotion. This is actually Zen-Buddhist in teaching , for the highest levels of Zen-Buddhism have a person isolate from all people in a room, and purge all connections to this world, including emotion. This ideology of the Vulcans and Zen-Buddhism is Satanic, because we are meant to have emotions, because God the Trinity has emotions and we are made in his image:

“Then God said, “Let us make man in our image, after our likeness. And let them have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over the livestock and over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.” (Genesis 1:26)

God feels grieved and Sad:

“The Lord was sorry that He had made man on the earth, and He was grieved in His heart. But then God notice Noah and his family” (Genesis 6:6, 12)

God is Angry and Zealous:

“The Passover of the Jews was at hand, and Jesus went up to Jerusalem. In the temple he found those who were selling oxen and sheep and pigeons, and the money-changers sitting there. And making a whip of cords, he drove them all out of the temple, with the sheep and oxen. And he poured out the coins of the money-changers and overturned their tables. And he told those who sold the pigeons, “Take these things away; do not make my Father's house a house of trade.” His disciples remembered that it was written, “Zeal for your house will consume me.” (John 2:13-22)

God Laughs:

The wicked plots against the righteous and gnashes at him with his teeth. The Lord laughs at him, for He sees his day is coming.” (Psalm 37:12-13

Star Gate

Brad Wright’s story about a gateway that can take people to other worlds (dimensions) stems from astroprojection, a practice by which witches travel via tunnels in the spirit world to parts of earth and other dimensions. In addition is the Chariots of the gods story that aliens who look Egyptian and etc helped build our great civilizations. This stemming from Nephilim and fallen angels wedding human women in Genesis 6.

Dune

Herbert’s story also has a messiah, the Mau’Dib, who comes from the House of Atreides to defeat the other houses trying to take over Arrakis and the spice which allows space travel. Mau’Dib is very close, even in name, to the Sh’iite Mahdi or Muslim messiah who was the Twelfth Imam. Again the film is universalist in that the majority of the people follow a book that has all religious teachings combined. Hebert himself was athiest until he became Buddhist.

Alien

Sir Ridley Scott scared people senseless with his 1979 horror film Alien which featured a crew encountering a hyper sexual alien which in stages is an egg that has a facehugger that latches on the face like a crab that lays eggs inside the host, then a snake like creature with a whale head and razor teeth burrows out of the chest of the human host, killing the host, and finally it grows up into bipedal black creature with elongated skull, razor sharp teeth, a tongue with teeth, piping protruding from the back, and a long tail. H. R. Giger who designed the alien was openly in the Occult, and the designs of the alien, a.k.a Xenomorph are very demonic and reminiscent of Succubus; the alien makes sex and giving birth horrific which is an attack on the Lord’s command, “be fruitful and multiply.” (Genesis 1:28). The Alien/ Xenomorph also has major Mayan religious symbolism, the elongated skull was Mayan, they made their skulls long, and the alien bursting from the chest is similar to Mayan ripping the heart out of the chest of a human sacrifice.

Ridley Scott does place some other religious undertones in his prequels, Prometheus and Alien Covenant, but they are deceptive. Elizabeth Shaw in Prometheus wears a cross and it is featured prominately, but her faith in Christ is blended in the acceptance that Engineers, bald white skinned giants, as also creators: Scripture tells us the giants were evil spawn of the fallen angels and women, “the sons of God saw that the daughters of man were attractive. And they took as their wives any they chose. Then the Lord said, “My Spirit shall not abide in man forever, for he is flesh: his days shall be 120 years.” The Nephilim were on the earth in those days, and also afterward, when the sons of God  had intercourse with the daughters of man and they bore children to them. These were the mighty men who were of old, the men of renown. The Lord saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every intention of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually,” (Genesis 6:1-22) and “And there we saw the Nephilim (the sons of Anak, who come from the Nephilim), and we seemed to ourselves like grasshoppers, and so we seemed to them,” (Numbers 13:33); and that God the Trinity alone created mankind (Genesis 2). Furthermore in Alien Covenant, David, a android becomes a dark creator and even paraphrases Milton’s, “it is better to reign in hell than serve in heaven.” (Paradise Lost, said by Satan). We see Shaw, who was Christian is a dead corpse David used as an experiment, and the other Christian, Oram becomes the host of the Xenomorph, dying the horrible chestbursting death. One could argue the Alien is Scott’s twisted version of being born again, becoming “a new creation,” because he has said in interviews he thinks “religion is evil, it destroys people.” (Paraphrase)

Scott has cleverly crafted tales of Artificial Intelligence, Chariots of the gods, and antichrist / antibiblical into one franchise. Again he uses elements from everywhere like George Lucas, Gene Roddenberry, and Frank Herbert did to lure all peoples in, but then his sinister message is revealed.

Predator

A creature that hunts man like deer but only keeps the skull as a trophy was the premise of this sci-fi blockbuster. The creature known as the Predator (Yautja) was hi-tech Samurai Shinobi who uses plasma and blades to kill its prey. Its only code is that if you are arn’t armed, bearing a weapon,  he won’t kill you. The Predator was based on a Rastafarian Warrior according to Stan Winston, father of monsters for movies. Rastafarianism is odd religion that combines Judeo-Christian beliefs with African Tribalism. Most Rastafarians believe Halle Sassie was the return of Christ, while others see him as a prophet. Most Rastas/ Rastafarians smoke Gaunja (Cannabis, Hashish) to feel closer to God, when the Scriptures tell us the opposite, “Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.” (1 Peter 5:8). The Rastas influence is more apparent in Predator 2 when the Predator encounters a Rastafarian named King Willie, and a Rastas ceremony is preformed in a penthouse scene. The Predator sports dreadlocks like Rastafarians, but his own religion seems more Mayan, “Mayan skulls were believed to be a godhead-symbol of all encompassing knowledge and wisdom,” (Google Search), which explains why the Predator would collect human skulls.

What is abundantly clear in the most of the popular of space odysseys and epics is that Christianity is either demonized or blended into a universalism which destroys its potency, because we believe there is only One Way to Heaven, Jesus Christ. The goal of these directors and writers is to dilute Christianity or demonize it. George Lucas achieving both. It is odd wouldn’t you say that the greats, The titans of Space stories are all Buddhist except for one Athiest/Agonistic? Where are Christian space storytellers? Well none of them had a chance, even C.S. Lewis who wrote a Space Trilogy never had his books green lighted and made into movies. And now Ridley Scott has gone further in his HBO Max Raised by Wolves that has Atheists and Theists/Mythists as enemies.  It should not surprise us these space odysseys seeks to subvert our faith and says the worlds and us were created by aliens, when it was our Lord God who created the “heavens and the earth,” (Genesis 1:1), the stars (Genesis 1:15-16), and us (Genesis 1:26).

In short the majority of the space operas, odysseys, and epics are antichrist; either in a direct demonization, a la Darth Vader and the Xenomorph, or by diluting it into universalism via The Force and the Federation of Planets with touches of Chariots of the gods, and Nephilim.

The Bible is the true account from God to his people. These space stories and the myths of Greece and etc are the fallen angels and their deceptive accounts. I believe all stories either reflect the truth of God or the lies of Satan and his fallen angels. These storytellers like Ridley Scott and George Lucas are cleaver, they seek to insert false beliefs and undermine our pure, and simple devotion to Christ (2 Corinthians 12:3). I say don’t let them, but instead “count all things lost but knowing Christ” (Philippians 3:8). Only then will you be shielded from the seeds of doubt, demonization, and deception these stories hold. Amen.

Israel’s Conquest of Canaan: The Nephilim and Giants

Christianity Today asserts that the conquest of Canaan can be a “stumbling block” for believers. This probably is because of a foolish idea of comparing it to a modern conquest happening in our world. The truth is that God had Israel conquer Canaan because it was ruled by evil giants, “We saw the Nephilim there (the descendants of Anak come from the Nephilim). We seemed like grasshoppers in our own eyes, and we looked the same to them.” (Numbers 13:33). These are Anakim or Nephilim, the children of angels and human women, “When man began to multiply on the face of the land and daughters were born to them, the sons of God (angels) saw that the daughters of man were attractive. And they took as their wives any they chose. Then the LORD said, “My Spirit shall not abide in man forever, for he is flesh: his days shall be 120 years.” The Nephilim were on the earth in those days, and also afterward, when the sons of God came in to the daughters of man and they bore children to them. Dispensationalism

John Nelson Darby (1800-1882) was a man who did two things, he took 70th week of the Book of Daniel and stretched out to the End Times, and he was the father of  Dispensationalism , a belief system that God dispenses different peoples with separate blessings and covenants. According to Darb'ys doctrine of Dispensationalism, God dispenses different covenants. There are total of seven dispensations that divide the history of man: I. Dispensation of Innocence (prior to the Fall, "Do not east of the Fruit of Good and Eve, Eden), II. Dispensation of Conscience ( You must assuage guilt and sin with blood sacrifices.) III. Dispensation of Human Government (Multiply and Subdue the world, example the Tower of Babel Gen 11:1-9, and Genesis 1:28). IV. Dispensation of the Promise (Dwell in Canaan, Jerusalem) V. Dispensation of the Law ("Obey the Law of Moses and the Prophets"). VI. Dispensation of Grace (The Church, Jesus Christ has come...

Jesus’ Name in Aramaic

There has been a trend to render Jesus’ name Hebrew, יֵשׁוּעַ , Yeshua. The problem is neither Christ nor his apostles, nor the Jews in 30-33 A.D. spoke Hebrew, they spoke Aramaic. A ramaic is the oldest language on earth and was the language Jesus spoke. In fact, the oldest Old Testament is the Septuagint a Greco translation around 132 B.C.E. (165 Years Before Christ)that was translated from Aramaic. The Masoretic Text, The Hebrew Old Testament most Bibles use, dates from 7th to 10th Century A.D. (Medieval Times).  This translation does not cross reference with the words of Christ in the New Testament which are Aramaic and Koine Greek.  If the Aramaic was what Jesus spoke, then by what name would have been called? Jesus’ name in Aramaic is Isho or Eesho, spelled ܝܫܘܥ . That is the name of our Lord in Aramaic! He would have heard his name in this dialect, “Hail Isho or Eesho!” as well as the Greek, Ἰ ησο ῦ ς , Iesous.  Aramaic is disappearing, only a few peop...
