Son of Perdition

Our Lord Jesus Christ is called The Son of Man. This name is important because it emphasizes he is God made flesh (John 1:1-17). The Apostle John goes as far as to say anyone who does not confess Jesus came in the flesh is antichrist, “every spirit that does not confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is not of God. And this is the spirit of the Antichrist, which you have heard was coming, and is now already in the world.” (1 John 4:3 NKJV).

Now the Antichrist has a name too, which is the Son of Perdition, “the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition, He will exalt himself and defy everything that people call god and every object of worship. He will even sit in the temple of God, claiming that he himself is God.” (2 Thessalonians 2:3-4). Perditon literally means damnation, it is an opposite title to Son of Man. Now interestingly there was another man who was called the Son of Perdition, Judas Iscariot, one of the Twelve Disciples, who betrayed Jesus, was filled with Satan, “Then Satan entered into Judas Iscariot, who was one of the twelve disciples,” (Luke 22:3), and “While I was with them in the world, I kept them in Your name. Those whom You gave Me I have kept; and none of them is lost except the son of perdition, that the Scripture might be fulfilled.” (John 17:12)

This got me thinking, what if the Son of Perdition, the Antichrist to come will rise from the church, just as the first son of perdition was one of the Twelve Disciples? The church as I have written in many other posts has become mainly a business, like the Pharisees and the money changers of the temple that Jesus whipped and rebuked (John 2:13-17). It says Satan is the god of money (Ezekiel 28:11-21), and the church system (not the Body of Christ, Christian believers everywhere) is devoted to money, when Jesus said, “No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money” (Matthew 6:24).

It would make sense for the Antichrist, the Second Son of Perdition to rise from the church, because it would follow Judas’ path the first son of Perdition and it would be unexpected. So many brothers and sisters in Christ expect the Man of Sin and Antichrist to come from another religion, be a European aristocrat, or some other group, but what if he comes from Church like Judas did? What if one of the most mainstream and popular ministers on TV is really the Son of Perdition? Remember,  when Jesus gave powers to heal and so miracles to his twelve disciples (Matthew 10:1) he didn’t say, “except Judas.” I can see Satan raising a Man of Sin from the church system to shock us, and because as aforementioned, the Church since Constantine the Great has become a house of Mammon (god of money) as much as a temple of Christ, and Satan is Mammon (Ezekiel 28:11-21).

I am not claiming divine revelation here, I am sharing some thoughts on who the Son of Perdition might be. As always consult Scripture and continue to build up your deeply personal relationship with Christ. Amen.

Israel’s Conquest of Canaan: The Nephilim and Giants

Christianity Today asserts that the conquest of Canaan can be a “stumbling block” for believers. This probably is because of a foolish idea of comparing it to a modern conquest happening in our world. The truth is that God had Israel conquer Canaan because it was ruled by evil giants, “We saw the Nephilim there (the descendants of Anak come from the Nephilim). We seemed like grasshoppers in our own eyes, and we looked the same to them.” (Numbers 13:33). These are Anakim or Nephilim, the children of angels and human women, “When man began to multiply on the face of the land and daughters were born to them, the sons of God (angels) saw that the daughters of man were attractive. And they took as their wives any they chose. Then the LORD said, “My Spirit shall not abide in man forever, for he is flesh: his days shall be 120 years.” The Nephilim were on the earth in those days, and also afterward, when the sons of God came in to the daughters of man and they bore children to them. These w

Dispensationalism

John Nelson Darby (1800-1882) was a man who did two things, he took 70th week of the Book of Daniel and stretched out to the End Times, and he was the father of  Dispensationalism , a belief system that God dispenses different peoples with separate blessings and covenants. According to Darb'ys doctrine of Dispensationalism, God dispenses different covenants. There are total of seven dispensations that divide the history of man: I. Dispensation of Innocence (prior to the Fall, "Do not east of the Fruit of Good and Eve, Eden), II. Dispensation of Conscience ( You must assuage guilt and sin with blood sacrifices.) III. Dispensation of Human Government (Multiply and Subdue the world, example the Tower of Babel Gen 11:1-9, and Genesis 1:28). IV. Dispensation of the Promise (Dwell in Canaan, Jerusalem) V. Dispensation of the Law ("Obey the Law of Moses and the Prophets"). VI. Dispensation of Grace (The Church, Jesus Christ has come and died for our sins an

Jesus’ Name in Aramaic

There has been a trend to render Jesus’ name Hebrew, יֵשׁוּעַ , Yeshua. The problem is neither Christ nor his apostles, nor the Jews in 30-33 A.D. spoke Hebrew, they spoke Aramaic. A ramaic is the oldest language on earth and was the language Jesus spoke. In fact, the oldest Old Testament is the Septuagint a Greco translation around 132 B.C.E. (165 Years Before Christ)that was translated from Aramaic. The Masoretic Text, The Hebrew Old Testament most Bibles use, dates from 7th to 10th Century A.D. (Medieval Times).  This translation does not cross reference with the words of Christ in the New Testament which are Aramaic and Koine Greek.  If the Aramaic was what Jesus spoke, then by what name would have been called? Jesus’ name in Aramaic is Isho or Eesho, spelled ܝܫܘܥ . That is the name of our Lord in Aramaic! He would have heard his name in this dialect, “Hail Isho or Eesho!” as well as the Greek, Ἰ ησο ῦ ς , Iesous.  Aramaic is disappearing, only a few people are endeavo
