Mankind is dying and not from a disease or natural disasters; no our extinction is being self inflicted and in the cause of Mammon (god of money). Today's generations are having fewer and fewer children. The World is facing an pandemic of disinterest in matrimony and procreating. In fact, according to current stats, more Japanese are dying than are being born (700 Club, 9.16.2015). The disinterest in marriage and sex is at all time high in the former Rising Sun Nation and is spreading to other countries.
With the advent of cyber-pornography and causality of sex in our contemporary world, procreation not to mention matrimony are becoming replaced with porn and masturbation. People do not seek to build families, they seek fantasies, and as a result population growth in Europe, Asia (China and Japan), Russia, and America are declining. Counter to the rising rejection of traditional marriage and procreation are ethnic groups who are still having large families, particularly Latinos and Muslims. Hispanics have anywhere from 3-8 children, while Muslims have an estimated 6-11 children. Catholics, which includes a large portion of Hispanics can have children in the numbers of 12-20.
Most Americans, Europeans, Japanese, and Slavic Nations are having only 1-2 children per household. The reason for this shortage of sons and daughters in many nations is simple: the cost of living has soared and it has become financial folly to have a family before the age 30 or even 40. People are getting married later and are delaying having children due to ambition, finances, social norms, and ideologies. More and more people want to remain single, and keep sex purely in the sphere of pleasure. Sex rather than being to procreate, has become another drug; from porn to sex meet and greet liaisons, sex is becoming more and more akin to Marijuana than making babies. It is not that sex is without pleasure, but shifting the focus entirely from procreation has lead to a revolution that is ruining the human race. Younger generations, such as Millennials and Generation Y are unwilling to make the sacrifices to have kids and instead are more dedicated to their careers and the cozy confines of their hobbies and passions.
The axis that is driving this entire turn from traditional marriage and raising a family is money. People either cannot afford to have a family due to interest rates, inflation, and other insecurities or they do not want to have a family due to personal ambitions, dreams, desires, and convenience. In both cases it is money; either there is not enough money to make ends meet or there is not a desire to use the money for making a family. Our Lord said, "You can only serve only one of two masters, you will love one or hate the other, you can only serve God or Mammon (money)." (Matthew 6:24). How our Lord's words have become more relevant than ever! People in serving Money have forsaken making more men and women through marriage and sex. The only sex that is left in the public eye is self satisfying and does not bring new life into the world but serves the lusts of men and has become a multi-billion dollar industry under the banner pornography. Thus even sex has become about money and the exploitation of people to satisfying the depraved imaginings of individual.
Our Creator said, "Be fruitful, multiply, and subdue the earth." (Genesis 1:28, Genesis 9:7). The decision to desert matrimony and procreation as major goals in life is a violation of God's edict, and ironically will collapse the metropolitan machine people are building. To put it simply, if more people are dying then are born there will eventually be no more people, and thus no economy, businesses and society; the whole system comes crashing down. As Christians we are guilty. Our churches in an endeavor to support modern culture have invested in the "find yourself" individualism and have turned against the traditional values that come straight from Truth Himself! Satan has done his work well. We care now more bout computers than children; more about managing our brand, company, and hobbies than getting married and multiplying. And if people do have children they have only a few and teach them the same individualism that leads to less interest in "being fruitful and multiply."
In a way, we are more "subdue" oriented than "multiply" oriented these days. Managing a company, creating something or simply working and doing tasks is subduing. But when ever there is an overemphasis on one thing, error inevitably follows. We care about subduing, putting to order our world, our lives, and our work; but multiplying has been downplayed. Make no mistake, I am not urging people to breed without responsibility; there are plenty of women having children for the wrong reasons such as welfare. Others have so many kids they cannot manage and our burnt out all the time, and create conditions that cause sickness in their homes which violates the subduing and putting to order clause God said. You see we need balance between Multiply and Subdue.
Abortion and long term abstinence are killing mankind. People if they do have sex and produce an unwanted pregnancy get an abortion and kill their child or they completely refrain from relationships, and spend their time on raising their empire. Man has made even a business out of extinction, companies like Planned Parenthood and other organizations are helping people kill off children for money. Those who are married who avoid pregnancies via contraceptives or who stay chaste and avoid marriage long term are inevitably doing the same as Plan Parenthood: denying children from coming into the world. In this way medical companies are making big money out of helping people not get pregnant. So you see, its money that is killing mankind and could be the path to our extinction.
You can truly only serve one of two masters, either God or Mammon. God said, "Be fruitful and multiply and subdue the earth," but Mammon says, "Subdue, wait and do no multiply yet, you can make more money if you wait." Sounds like Satan, who always mingles a truth with a lie: God said, "Do not eat of the fruit of the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil," (Genesis 2:17) while the devil changed it slightly, "Did God say you cannot eat and you cannot touch the fruit of the Knowledge of Good and Evil," (Genesis 3:3). So you see Satan has man focused on "subduing," the second half of God's edict, but it subdues to the determent of the first half of God's command, "Be fruitful and multiply." In this way our enemy often deceives us, making us focus on one point, verse, or gift, until we exclude and ignore the other points, verses, and gifts of God.
Raising the alarm may seem presumptuous, after all many people are having large families. While that may be true, it is only certain demographics who are dedicated to "multiply" and those are the Muslims and Latinos. Africans have lots of children, but the mortality rate is higher in Africa, with most of the populace between 20-60yrs of age now dead (World of Vision Stats). Currently in Russia there is desperation as birth rates are at an all time low. President Vladimir Putin even had rappers from America tour Russia with their lyrics of virility last year, and has had programs implemented to encourage procreation; but the decline in native Russian birth rates hasn't changed significantly.
More and more nations are following Japan's example of avoiding marriage and sex; America being one of them. People in the Google Generation and Generation Y are postponing marrying and multiplying. They want to build their individual lives first, but with the years it takes to get a degree in college, the internships, and work experience required to achieve an income to survive not to mention thrive in the US is daunting. It is becoming increasingly clear that those who even want to have a family are going to face great financial difficulties such as student loan debt, steady rising costs of living, and more. Between what I call "anti-familialism" and financial curve in the way of building a family, the declining birth rates in The United States will continue to climb.
Jesus Christ said, "If the time is not cut short all flesh would perish." (Matthew 24:22). This verse has been attributed to the catastrophic calamities of the Wormwood Comet in Revelation, and the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse: Pestilence, War, Famine, and Death. But what if Jesus' words are being fulfilled by man's own hand as well?! What if the reason Jesus says, "When the son of man returns, will he find faith?" (Luke 18:8) is directly related to that mankind will have ceased to multiply or in very least curbed multiply by a major extent by the Return of the Messiah?
The roots of the decline of the family can be found in The Industrial Revolution. During the Industrial Revolution, the traditional family was split up, making the Father, Mother, and the child work. As a result the family unit was torn asunder and lead to the birth of the "Machine" of Industry that enslaved people through consumerism, materialism, and capitalism. That Machine lived on, making new slaves who now sacrifice multiplying for the sake of serving industry with their whole heart, body, and mind. Yes, the Machine of Industrial Revolution did not die, it merely evolved and grew more powerful. Rather than seeing factories, smoke, and slave like workers; we see skyscrapers, satellites, and sophisticants with latest gadgets, and technologies. The Machine was smart, it took away the horrifying exterior of brick, bruised bodies, and bellowing smoke and replaced it with bright computer screens, beautiful photo shopped bodies, and brilliant artificial steam. The Machine was wise, it made people believe they were free, when in actuality they are in the Matrix: an illusion of freedom in tangible ways, but they are really still slaves. The Machine's life blood comes from Mammon (money), it uses like twin arteries consumerism and materialism to ensnare or enlist new workers. Again, this system of industry is built on money and in the twenty-first century has received greater devotion in the sacrifice of children and building the family unit to maintain and keep the gears of industry well oiled with blood and sweat of each generation.
Our Lord Jesus Christ said, "Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moths and vermin destroy, and where thieves break in and steal." (Matthew 6:19). There is nothing inherently wrong with wealth and being good stewards of our finances falls into "subduing," The problem comes when our "subduing" harms "multiply." The current path humankind is on is leading to ruination and extinction. People's souls are at stake, for they are Mammon's servants and thus have chosen their master who leads to hell or they are Christians who are caught in the Machine's gears and juggle God with their financial goals. Money is not evil, the Bible says, "The love of money is the root of all evil." (1 Timothy 6:10). We must as Christians be careful of being ensnared in the entanglements of Mammon and the Machine. Both seek our death and both are killing the human race one generation at a time. We must remember that our enemy has come to "kill, steal, and destroy," but our God Jesus has come to "give us life abundantly." (John 10:10). Satan is killing the human race because he hates us and he hates us because we are made in God's image (Genesis 1:27). He wants to eliminate us and has convinced many in other countries and across continents to postpone having children and thus is stealing the joy of having a family from many, and consequently is stealing the joy those kids would bring to the world. The final goal is to destroy us, and at the current birth rates, our Enemy is well on his way to victory. All the devil needs is Wormwood and Four Horseman to help the process along. Make no mistake my brothers and sisters in Christ, we are being exterminated and many of us are participating in the process! Take heed, mankind hangs in balance! It is time to wake up!
