Heresy In The History Channel Bible Series

Apostate Angel Gabriel (The History Channel: The Bible Series)
I just witnessed a great apostasy on the History Channel tonight. The Bible Series which I was praising weeks ago has just done the unthinkable!  In The Bible Series Gabriel says "The Holy Spirit will move in you," and then he takes Mary's hands while some strange music plays and a sound like a transferring of spirit happens! The scene makes it look like an angelic conception! This is heresy! Even worse it hearkens to Genesis 6, "When the sons of God (angels) went into women and conceived children." This is anti-Christ doctrine! It goes against all that we as Christians know to be true!

During the True Annunciation in the Gospel of Luke, the Angel Gabriel appears to Mary and the Scripture says that he tells her, "The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. So the holy one to be born will be called the Son of God." (Luke 19: 28-44). Gabriel in the Gospel accounts never touches Mary, he merely tells her God's Plan.

The First reason Gabriel would never have touched Mary is that in the Jewish Culture during the Roman Occupation (33 A.D.), Women were not to be touched by men unless they were heir husbands and immediate family. There were strict laws that even forbade rabbis to walk on the same path as a woman. Mary would never have been seen in private room or location with Gabriel, because it would have truly frightened her and looked suspicious (which God would never have allowed). What captures a more accurate Annunciation, is The Nativity Story Film where Mary is in an Olive Tree Orchard with the rest of the Nazarene Women. Gabriel appears to her and speaks the exact words found in the Gospels.

I recant what I said in a previous post endorsing The Bible Series on the History Channel. I recommend all believers to confront this heresy! This isn't a mistake like confusing Mary Magdalene of the Seven Demons with Mary the Harlot or confusing customs of the time. No, this is misrepresenting the Miraculous Birth of God's Only Begotten Son!

In addition to this apostasy about the Annunciation, the most important part of Jesus' Baptism was skipped! In the Bible Series Jesus is Baptized and then suddenly he is in the Wilderness. It completely omitted a very important part of his baptism: "After being baptized, Jesus came up immediately from the water; and behold, the heavens were opened, and he saw the Spirit of God descending as a dove and lighting on Him, and behold, a voice out of the heavens said, “This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well-pleased.” (Matt 3: 15-17). The Baptism is suppose to be an announcement of Jesus going into the ministry and his Father ordaining him and telling those there at the Jordan River who Jesus is: His Son! There are millions of people watching this show and many are seeing the Gospel for the first time, so it is crucial to tell it according to how it was written in the Gospels! How are people to know Jesus is the Son of God? How are they to know the truth?

They should have skipped the gory battle scene of Babylon to make time for these important details!  I pray that no one is deceived by this History Channel Series and that people will pick up Bibles and read what actually happened. Amen.

Israel’s Conquest of Canaan: The Nephilim and Giants

Christianity Today asserts that the conquest of Canaan can be a “stumbling block” for believers. This probably is because of a foolish idea of comparing it to a modern conquest happening in our world. The truth is that God had Israel conquer Canaan because it was ruled by evil giants, “We saw the Nephilim there (the descendants of Anak come from the Nephilim). We seemed like grasshoppers in our own eyes, and we looked the same to them.” (Numbers 13:33). These are Anakim or Nephilim, the children of angels and human women, “When man began to multiply on the face of the land and daughters were born to them, the sons of God (angels) saw that the daughters of man were attractive. And they took as their wives any they chose. Then the LORD said, “My Spirit shall not abide in man forever, for he is flesh: his days shall be 120 years.” The Nephilim were on the earth in those days, and also afterward, when the sons of God came in to the daughters of man and they bore children to them. The...

Dispensationalism

John Nelson Darby (1800-1882) was a man who did two things, he took 70th week of the Book of Daniel and stretched out to the End Times, and he was the father of  Dispensationalism , a belief system that God dispenses different peoples with separate blessings and covenants. According to Darb'ys doctrine of Dispensationalism, God dispenses different covenants. There are total of seven dispensations that divide the history of man: I. Dispensation of Innocence (prior to the Fall, "Do not east of the Fruit of Good and Eve, Eden), II. Dispensation of Conscience ( You must assuage guilt and sin with blood sacrifices.) III. Dispensation of Human Government (Multiply and Subdue the world, example the Tower of Babel Gen 11:1-9, and Genesis 1:28). IV. Dispensation of the Promise (Dwell in Canaan, Jerusalem) V. Dispensation of the Law ("Obey the Law of Moses and the Prophets"). VI. Dispensation of Grace (The Church, Jesus Christ has come...

Jesus’ Name in Aramaic

There has been a trend to render Jesus’ name Hebrew, יֵשׁוּעַ , Yeshua. The problem is neither Christ nor his apostles, nor the Jews in 30-33 A.D. spoke Hebrew, they spoke Aramaic. A ramaic is the oldest language on earth and was the language Jesus spoke. In fact, the oldest Old Testament is the Septuagint a Greco translation around 132 B.C.E. (165 Years Before Christ)that was translated from Aramaic. The Masoretic Text, The Hebrew Old Testament most Bibles use, dates from 7th to 10th Century A.D. (Medieval Times).  This translation does not cross reference with the words of Christ in the New Testament which are Aramaic and Koine Greek.  If the Aramaic was what Jesus spoke, then by what name would have been called? Jesus’ name in Aramaic is Isho or Eesho, spelled ܝܫܘܥ . That is the name of our Lord in Aramaic! He would have heard his name in this dialect, “Hail Isho or Eesho!” as well as the Greek, Ἰ ησο ῦ ς , Iesous.  Aramaic is disappearing, only a few peop...
