Germany: The Light

Since the 1940’s Germany tends to have its darkest history emphasized. This is not without support from Germany itself, the nation acknowledges the atrocities of the Third Reich, and The Holocaust.    But Germany also has a history of light, where from it a beacon of salvation spread across the world. I speak of Martin Luther and The Reformation.  Many forerunners like Jan Hus tried to change the church and loose it from grip of Roman tyranny. The truth is Italy continued to rule the world as it did as The Roman Empire, it used Roman Catholicism and being the seat of the Papacy, as a means to funnel money from fledgling nations to its throne in Rome. It raped the new world and created more churches to send more money and able bodies to administer its sacraments for more power and money. Henry VIII saw through the facade in his own English Reformation, and stopped the money flow to Rome, something Henry II had tried long before but lost to bespelled Thomas Beckett. While other reforme

The Holy Spirit: The Third Person

The Third Person of the Holy Trinity gets the most attention in Charismatic Churches. He gets only a passing mention in Liturgical Churches, in the prayer, “In The Name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Amen,” usually at water baptisms. The Apostle Paul tells us the baptism in the Spirit differs from the Water Baptism,  “ Paul in Ephesus [1] And it happened that while Apollos was at Corinth, Paul passed through the inland country and came to Ephesus. There he found some disciples. [2] And he said to them, “Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you believed?” And they said, “No, we have not even heard that there is a Holy Spirit.” [3] And he said, “Into what then were you baptized?” They said, “Into John’s baptism.” [4] And Paul said, “John baptized with the baptism of repentance, telling the people to believe in the one who was to come after him, that is, Jesus.” [5] On hearing this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. [6] And when Paul had laid his hands on them, the

I Want Out Of This World!: Elijah’s Chariot and Wishing You Weren’t Born

Rich Mullins wrote a song about “Going Out Like Elijah,” its a compelling piece about wanting God to take us up in a fiery chariot and how we will not miss this world as it passes from view.    The Apostle Paul spoke in a similar fashion when he said, “I am torn between the two: I desire to depart and be with Christ, which is better by far; But for your sakes, it is better that I continue to live..” (Philippians 1:23-24). These sentiments get stronger as we see our world tear itself asunder. We may find ourselves saying, “take me up in chariot,” “let me depart to be with Christ” and as the Prophet Jeremiah said, “ I wish I had never been born! I have become a source of conflict and dissension in my own country. Even though I haven’t lent or borrowed, still everyone curses me.  “ (Jeremiah 15:10, CEB). These feelings are normal brothers and sisters in Christ. Despair is taking dominion as the world is plunging into the shadow of uncertainty. Its normal to want to check out or rue the

Christ The End of the Law of Moses

As Christians we are not under the Law of Moses anymore! We are free people under Christ, redeemed by His precious blood, and sacrifice once for all. The Law was a tutor, it aim never to save but to point us to The All Sufficent Savior. The Law was meant to make us despair,    and become aware that no matter what we are sinners who can’t be good enough, but that God who is Good become human flesh and died to make us good in Him for all eternity!  I am disturbed by how infiltrators under the guise of “Hebrew Roots” and “Messianic Jewish Teaching” have made an assault on Grace. These infiltrators spied our freedom, “This matter arose because some false believers had infiltrated our ranks to spy on the freedom we have in Christ Jesus and to make us slaves,” (Galatians 2:4) and their aim is to enslave us back in a law that Peter says, “Now, therefore, why are you putting God to the test by placing a yoke on the neck of the disciples that neither our fathers nor we have been able to bear?

Jurassic World Dominion Review

The final chapter of the Jurassic World trilogy and perhaps the franchise has been released to stream in Amazon.com Early Access. Many of you are aware of my fondness for the Jurassic films, having written many reviews and posts inspired by the original masterpiece, as well as reviewing the sequels. I must confess I was skeptical about this installment. The truth is I feared “The Rise of Skywalker” which I enjoyed, but it felt unpolished and rushed. I am happy to say Dominion is polished like the amber of Hammond’s mosquito.  Jurassic World Dominion is a fitting Pteradon Song to the franchise. We get ample time with the Legacy character of Dr. Alan Grant, Dr. Ellie Sattler, and Dr. Ian Malcom, as well as not losing focus of the Jurassic World mains of Owen Grady, Claire Dearing, and now Maisie Lockwood. Returning faces like Dr. Henry Wu, and others are a welcome sight. But be honest you want to hear about Blue The Velociraptor and he new baby Beta. Well its touching and have me a goo

Grace Examined

There are many psuedo-churches, including The Roman Catholic and Eastern Orthodox that teach you can lose the grace of God. That you must stay in state of grace by your own merit and observance of God’s commands. If you lapse, commit a mortal sin or many venial sins you can lose grace and your soul be in peril. This is not true, it is a lie ungrounded in Scripture.  The truth is we are sealed by The Holy Spirit, “  In him you also, when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation, and believed in him, were sealed with the promised Holy Spirit, who is the guarantee of our inheritance until we acquire possession of it, to the praise of his glory,” (Ephesians 1:13-14), and “  And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption.” (Ephensians 4:30).  The false churches would try to convince you grace can be lost,  but we are In state of Grace always: “ But he said to me, “ And God is able to make all grace abound  to you, so that havin

Pope Francis Fame

Many become bespelled by Pope Francis and his deeds. Even Protestants have been seduced by the Pontiff. I would like to remind people  this is same Pope Francis who said atheists will be saved without faith in Jesus:  “ The Lord has redeemed all of us, all of us, with the Blood of Christ: all of us, not just Catholics. Everyone! 'Father, the atheists?'  Even the atheists. Everyone!  And this Blood makes us children of God of the first class. We are created children in the likeness of God and the Blood of Christ has redeemed us all. And we all have a duty to do good. And this commandment for everyone to do good, I think, is a beautiful path towards peace. If we, each doing our own part, if we do good to others, if we meet there, doing good, and we go slowly, gently, little by little, we will make that culture of encounter: We need that so much. We must meet one another doing good. ' But I don't believe, Father, I am an atheist!' But do good: We will meet one anothe

The Council of Trent: Catholics Damn The True Gospel

There has been great zeal to bridge the divide between Catholics and Protestants. Even Pope Francis has made gestures by celebrating The Reformation, and urging Catholics to read their bibles. The Roman Catholic Church is working hard to hide the gap that can never be filled between them and us Protestants. Before I continue I must share Catholics are Prima Scriptura, which means Scripture and Tradition are equal and followed. This contrasts with Protestantism’s Sola Scriptura which means Scripture alone is the authority for sound theology, doctrine, and etc. Well the Catholic Bibles agree with our Bibles that we are justified by faith in Christ, but the Catholics also esteem as equal in authority to the scriptures The Church Councils. Most of us Protestants only esteem one Church Council, The Council of Nicea, and perhaps Chalecdon. However, Catholics have twenty-one (21) councils which are deemed equal to the Scriptures.  One of these councils is The Council of Trent. In this counc

Solus Christus

I have spoken often against John Calvin, and I an learning that he perhaps did not coin TULIP.    Beyond this I have found one of his    quotes about Solus Christus to be brilliant!: “For how comes it that we are carried about with so many strange doctrines [Heb 13:9] but because the excellence of Christ is not perceived by us? For Christ alone makes all other things suddenly vanish. Hence there is nothing that Satan so much endeavours to accomplish as to bring on mists with the view of obscuring Christ, because he knows, that by this means the way is opened up for every kind of falsehood. This, therefore, is the only means of retaining, as well as restoring pure doctrine—to place Christ before the view such as he is with all his blessings, that his excellence may be truly perceived.” (John Calvin Commentary on Philippians, Colossians, and Thessalonians 1884-1856, repr, Grand Rapids 1993, from Christ Alone: The Uniqueness of Jesus As Savior, Stephen Wellum,    pg 228-232) What Calvin

Dark Times

We seem to be living in times of great uncertainty, of witchcraft and doubt caste on all authority. People now listen to no one save those that tickle their itching ears, “For the time will come when people will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear.” (2 Timothy 4:3). To claim there are absolutes, that God abhors anything is grounds for being labeled a bigot.  Our world is spiraling into chaos, as people try to throw off definitions that people have accepted for eons, oh but this new thinking is so much more ‘enlightened’! They say they can reinvent the wheel and call not a wheel. Sigh. The hubris that has taken hold as each person calls someone in whom they disagree ‘fake’ and other names. How  Factitious mankind has become, The Church especially which splits asunder over each individual who now has the ‘orthodoxy’ and the right thinking. How long till co
