Antichrist Entertainment

HBO Max is relatively new to the streaming table. Already a antichrist series about Christian murderers is featuring called “Pray Obey Kill.”    In the aftermath of the pandemic when churches have been closed, streaming services companies have been making antichristian shows, Netflix has “The Family” about a Christian cult. Notice there is no new docu-dramas about Satanic human sacrifices, 9/11 Hijackers, and etc streaming, it is all aimed at Christianity.  The goal is to paint Christianity in negative light. To make people afraid of Christians by telling stories of mentally ill and devilish people claiming to be Christian, but who are nothing like Christ Jesus who said “Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you,   bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you .  If someone slaps you on one cheek, turn to them the other also. If someone takes your coat, do not withhold your shirt from them. Give to everyone who asks you, and if anyone ...

Say His Name

On religious programs and non-faith based news, I hear a lot of fellow Christians say, “God,” the generic placeholder name for a Higher Power. What is frustrating about this is for one its no witness, if you don’t say Jesus’ name, and use the generic form God, it can be any God. The Israelites use to say clearly and boldly, “The God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob,” to ensure the correct Lord and Creator gets the credit. Jesus is the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob made flesh, and He has told us clearly if we proclaim Him there is a reward, “Everyone who acknowledges me publicly here on earth, I will also acknowledge before my Father in heaven,” (Matthew 10:32), however, there is also a warning for those who deny Him publicly, “but whoever denies me before men, I also will deny before my Father who is in heaven.” (Matthew 10:33). When people use the generic God, instead of saying Who really healed them or saved them, I worry its that verse.  The Apostle Peter speaks clearly th...

Jesus is Not the Name Joshua

I was recently watching an episode of Victory with Kenneth Copeland and he declared that Jesus’ name is really Joshua in Hebrew. This is utter falsehood. So lets look at the eptimology of the names.   Joshua means “God Will Save,” or “Jehovah is Salvation,” as in I believe God will save us from the wrath of the Philistines and Jehovah is in whom I receive salvation. Jesus means “Savior,” which means He is the Specific Person who Saves, He is Jehovah (God of Israel). The name Jesus derives from the Latin Iesus which comes from the Greek Iesous which comes from Aramaic Isho, and in Hebrew is Yeshua. The truth is that Hebrew was not the language of Jesus’ times, it was Aramaic, and the Old Testament was written in Aramaic. Hebrew is a later language. It is a child of the parent Aramaic. But even if we must compare Joshua and Yeshua’s names in Hebrew they arn’t even spelled the same:  יהושע  ( yÉ™hôšū Ê¿ a ) Joshua  ×™ֵשׁוּ×¢ַ  ( yÄ“Å¡Å« Ê¿ a ) Yeshua/ Jesus  Copeland ...

Jesus is Not The Archangel Michael

Last night I was watching a Seventh Day-Adventist Bible answer program and one of the Bible answer scholars said Michael the Archangel is a title for Jesus Christ. This is false, and close to erroneous Jehovah Witness belief that Jesus and the Archangel Michael are the same.  The clearest refutation of this false claim is when Michael Archangel battled Satan over the corpse of Moses, “But even Michael, one of the mightiest of the angels, did not dare accuse the devil of blasphemy, but simply said, “The Lord rebuke you!” (This took place when Michael was arguing with the devil about Moses’ body.)” (Jude 1:8-9). Michael would not rebuke the devil directly, by his own authority, but instead said, “the Lord rebuke you.” This proves Michael is not the Lord God, but Jesus is Lord God, “if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved,” (Romans 10:9), and “Therefore, God elevated him to the place of hig...

Godzilla vs Kong (2021) Spoiler Review

The Monserverse Circle is now complete. After four films, Godzilla and King Kong face one another in the ultimate smackdown to determine who is alpha, who is the apex predator among the titans. Godzilla vs Kong delivers everything the trailers promised in terms of action, a battle between the Giant Ape and Mutant Lizard-Dinosaur that will shake both The Earth, and The Hollow Earth. The outcome as seen in tagline “One Will Fall,” sets the stage. I have to confess the best round in this monster smackdown is on the sea, when Godzilla pulls a Jaws, swimming with his spines like shark fins in the water, and joins Kong on aircraft carrrier to battle each other. We have not had a water fight like this in past Godzilla or Kong films, and honestly such a feat would have been impossible without the CGI of today.  Round Two sees Kong and Gojira face off in Hong Kong where Godzilla not only dislocates Kong’s arm, but effectively shows his supremacy, and kills Kong.  Round Three bec...

The Importance of Jesus is Lord

The word Lord gets lost on us anglos. It invokes images of a noble lord running a manor in Medieval times. When we see Lord in the Bible, it can be hard to shake seeing God as a English Lord who demands fealty and obedience. The truth is Lord is a place holder for Jehovah, and Jehovah means God of Israel, “ Strong's Concordance Yhvh: the proper name of the God of Israel Original Word: ×™ְ×”ֹוָ×” Part of Speech: Proper Name Transliteration: Yhvh Phonetic Spelling: (yeh-ho-vaw') Transliteration: Yehovah, in Anglo Jehovah Short Definition: LORD NAS Exhaustive Concordance Word Origin from havah Definition the proper name of the God of Israel NASB Translation GOD (314), LORD (6399), LORD'S (111).” . When we confess Jesus is Lord (Romans 10:9), we aren’t saying lord in the anglo sense, we are declaring Jesus is God of Israel, the I AM made flesh (John 1:1. 14). In Greek Lord means Master, but wr have to understand that Jesus apoke Aramaic which is closely tied fo Hebrew, which mea...

He is Risen: Easter Sunday (2021)

Easter is not about bunnies, eggs, or chocolate things. It is celebration of a cornerstone of our faith. The Resurrection proves our faith is true, that Jesus is God and conquered death! Without the Resurrection of Christ our faith would be folly, “But if it is preached that Christ has been raised from the dead, how can some of you say that there is no resurrection of the dead? If there is no resurrection of the dead, then not even Christ has been raised. And if Christ has not been raised, our preaching is worthless, and so is your faith. In that case, we are also exposed as false witnesses about God. For we have testified about God that He raised Christ from the dead, but He did not raise Him if in fact the dead are not raised. For if the dead are not raised, then not even Christ has been raised. And if Christ has not been raised, your faith is futile; you are still in your sins. Then those also who have fallen asleep in Christ have perished. If our hope in Christ is for this li...
