Our Lord Jesus Christ is called The Son of Man. This name is important because it emphasizes he is God made flesh (John 1:1-17). The Apostle John goes as far as to say anyone who does not confess Jesus came in the flesh is antichrist, “every spirit that does not confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is not of God. And this is the spirit of the Antichrist, which you have heard was coming, and is now already in the world.” (1 John 4:3 NKJV). Now the Antichrist has a name too, which is the Son of Perdition, “the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition, He will exalt himself and defy everything that people call god and every object of worship. He will even sit in the temple of God, claiming that he himself is God.” (2 Thessalonians 2:3-4). Perditon literally means damnation, it is an opposite title to Son of Man.
