I find it puzzling when people say “Jesus Freak.” The whole point of Christianity is Christ, that our faith, allegiance, and obsession is to be Jesus. The Apostle Paul said, “Yes, everything else is worthless when compared with the infinite value of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. For his sake I have discarded everything else, counting it all as garbage, so that I could gain Christ,” (Philippians 3:8), and he made it clear this was the mature call of a Christian, “Let all who are spiritually mature agree on these things. If you disagree on some point, I believe God will make it plain to you.” (Philippians 3:15). To be a Jesus Freak is not an option, its the only option! Our Lord and Savior told us, “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me.” (Luke 9:23).
